There’s a regular bus that runs down the street to the city, but it’s an easy level wander to the CBD’s historic buildings, galleries, eateries and wine bars as well as the riverside where you’ll find the iconic Constitution Dock, Hobart Wharf where the ferry to MONA leaves and the Salamanca Markets precinct renowned for its fine-dining restaurants and vibrant hotspots. No trip to Hobart is complete without a short drive up to kunanyi (Mount Wellington) where you can get a taste of the Tassie wilderness and enjoy simply breathtaking panoramas over the city and the mighty Derwent River snaking its way towards the coast.
