What a stunning cottage. The place has everything you need to enjoy a weekend on the lake. Fantastic for boating or floating the afternoon away. The host has gone above and beyond to make sure every detail has been thought of.
If you think you need to pack it… you don’t. Lots of space for the whole family. A beautiful deck to watch the stars or sit by the fire. Absolutely perfect!
My friends and I enjoyed the labour day long weekend at this cozy cottage by the water. The property is beautiful, well maintained and allows you to see the sunset by the dock. The game room downstairs gave us something to do during those cold nights. The owner, Kimberly, did a great job providing the children with games and activities appropriate for their age. Kimberly was accessible to the group and checked in to make sure we had what we needed. We would definitely stay here again. Loved the experience!
It was a nice stay.
Kimberly is very accommodating, understanding and fair.
The cottage is clean, we were provided with everything we needed and more.
Very nice backyard, dock and waterfront experience.
Different activities and games to keep you entertained.
Bonfire pit was a nice touch, as well.
When it's a clear sky, you'll love looking at the stars at night.
There's also not too much noise at night, meaning the neighbours all respect one another, which is nice.
Overall, if you'd like to get away for a bit and enjoy a nice cottage experience with your family and friends, this cottage pretty much checks off all the boxes.
If possible, would I book again for another visit? Absolutely :)

About the host
Hosted by Kimberley Flood
I fell in love with Honey Harbour in my teens when I came here to enjoying the outdoors and that love affair has never changed. During the day, you'll often find me kayaking with my camera or floating by one the warm pools created by the underwater Georgian Bay granite of the dock--which can reach temperatures over 30C! At night I'm still amazed at the beauty of the milky way while I sit by the fire. My children and friends have loved spending their summers here where they have had endless adventures both on and off of the water.
Why they chose this property
We're located 10 minutes off of the 400N, it's an easy drive of about 2.5 hours from downtown Toronto, Hamilton and the Kitchener-Waterloo area. The peace and tranquility of our cottage is equally matched by the area's beauty and there's so much you can do both on and off of the water. Honey Harbour might be a small but it has great amenities. Along with live music on Fridays, there are art and musical events.
Honey Harbour has great grocery store, LCBO, restaurants and we often enjoy the many preprepared meals and hampers from Thrive Cafe and Food Marketplace. We definitely love taking advantage of the trails on Beausoleil Island national park and Honey Bee Festival in September has lots to do for people of all ages.
We're also a short drive from Bala, Port Credit, Midland and Orillia where we enjoy attending festivals or catching a show at Casino Rama.
What makes this property unique
We recently renovated our cottage to create a home away from home with multi-level decks that give amazing views of the water, a large outdoor firepit and grassed yard to host lots of games and hours of play. We have an extended deck off of our living room that allows an amazing view of the sunsets over the water and on rainy days our large screened in Muskoka room is the perfect place for more family fun.
Our private dock is great for swimming and fishing and can allow you to bring your own boat--there are also boat taxis to take you on an water adventure.
