Little River Guest House, custom crafted with a PRIVATE NEW HOT TUB. This is a unique property nestled in a pristine ranching valley along the South Fork of the Arkansas River on 35 acres. Quiet and private, we are located CLOSE TO MONARCH SKI MOUNTAIN and HISTORIC DOWNTOWN SALIDA for restaurants, shopping and art galleries. (see local Salida link for info) both only 10 minutes from the cabin. Can sleep four.

The Crest Trail is a world class mountain biking trail on Monarch Pass. Gold medal fishing on the Arkansas and whitewater rafting are famous in this area. Hiking trails, horseback riding, or 4 wheeling are all nearby. Visit our local Winery just down the road. We are blessed with 4 hot springs in the surrounding area. This spot is spectacular any time of year!
Little River Guest House is wonderful romantic honeymoon cottage OR for vacation couple private getaway.

Always wonderful!

This was our third visit to the Little River Guest House and once again it didn't disappoint. We consider it our home away from home and plan to visit again in spring. Thanks Margaret for always accommodating us in many ways. Oh, and we love your dogs who come briefly to say hello while in the glorious hot tub!

Peaceful Weekend Getaway

The cabin is perfect for a quiet weekend away. Its easy to get in and out of Salida and has great access to the beautiful outdoor spaces of the Southern Sawatch range. It is very clean and everything was easy to find and operate.

We are a design/build team and landscape architect and have done several projects around the country. We manage and maintain the property to a high standard and are happy to meet your needs.

What makes this property unique

Local recreation, skiing (15 mins. away), river rafting, fishing, mountain biking and hiking. This area is also rich in heritage sites, featuring historic downtown Salida (10 mins away). Right from the guest house, you can hike along the Little Arkansas or hike and mountain bike Willow and Greens Creek roads. The Mountain Spirit Winery on Cty. Rd. 220. 1 mile down the rd. is a great place to have a picnic under an apple tree.
