This former 17th century farmhouse is in an ideal location from which to explore South Devon. The beaches of Teignmouth/Torquay are 5/7 miles away & the beautiful Dartmoor National Park is only 8 miles away. We are less than 1 mile from Newton Abbot racecourse.
Many attractions are within a 20 min drive including Paignton Zoo, Crealy Adventure Park, Go Ape, Haldon Forest & Kent's Cavern to name but a few.
Within easy walking distance is a Chinese take away, Fish & Chip Shop, Tescos Direct & Pubs/Restaurant.

Lovely family holiday

A brilliant house for a family holiday, plenty of space for all 5 of us and such a lovely, clean, tidy and well equipped house. It had everything we needed and is in a great location for visiting nearby towns by car or bus. I highly recommend it.

Lovely place

Beautiful accommodation with lots of character. We really enjoyed our stay in this very comfortable house. The garden is lovely with sun for much of the day but it is a bit noisy being next to the road. We could not hear any traffic noise inside the house. We would definitely stay here again.

Family Getaway

The property was as described and very comfortable and clean. The information provided (location/keys) was succinct and got us in and comfortable with absolutely no issues. The house was spacious and accommodated 6 adults and two dogs comfortably. We had a great few days exploring Dartmoor and the local seaside resorts. The dogs loved the walks. Lynne and Neil are great hosts and have a lovely place and we highly recommend them for a break in the South West.

Great base

The cottage was a great base for us as a family the cottage was bigger than we expected and was really clean upon our arrival. Lynne answered all my questions and made enquiries on our behalf. The cottage was well equipped and toiletries and cleaning products were on hand and as a family we enjoyed our stay. It is the first time we have booked a cottage holiday and will definitely be booking again.

Beautiful property

Very impressed with the property, plenty of room and beautifully presented. Everything that you could want, it had, and great communication from the owners as well. Would highly recommend to anybody thinking about visiting the area!

Lovely Property, very comfortable with everything needed for a getaway for a short break

Lovely house with perfect enclosed garden for our four legged friend. Extremely well equipped and very comfortable providing a home from home experience. Ideal position for short drives to Dartmoor, Dawlish and Torquay and plenty of option locally for pubs and shops and not far from a lovely river walk. All in all a lovely short break, thank you very much to our hosts 😀

Beautiful property, a little gem tucked away.

What a lovely period property with all the comforts of home. Beautiful decor and really spacious. Exceptionally clean. Great location for travelling around tge area. Taxi service to Torquay was £23 each way but buses ran frequently. Handy for food store and 2 local pubs. Great base to explore the region.

ie. Bigger bedside table, bedroom clock, a larger toaster & a welcome pack would have been nice. Overall we did enjoy the house & our stay!

A Wonderful Property

The owners live next door so we were able to met them as you park on their drive. They were helpful and made recommendations for eating out. The property was clean well equipped and very spacious. Unfortunately the property is on a junction which quite is heavily used by local traffic and buses made worse by a temporary local diversion. We would recommend the property

Amazing stay, the perfect place for everybody.

Lynne and Neil are really special hosts. The property is excellent, very big and the perfect place to stay, if you wish to visit the delights of Devon. The property is really comfortable, and the garden is lovely to sit in and relax in the summertime or late winter. All the essentials are in the house you may need throughout your stay. We will recommend you to all the people we know that wish to visit Devon.

Charming old house

Easy check in, owners live close by for any queries or issues. House was clean and tidy, decor was unique with interesting pieces, rooms were quirky, but loved the layout. Lovely garden to sit out in first thing in the morning/evening. Amenities close by, Tesco express, Chinese down the road food was delicious, Boots pharmacy. Overall a charming old house, a good base for visiting Devon, we would definitely stay again.

Short Christmas Break

The property was a lot bigger than expected and was really lovely. We chose the area as it was close to family to meet up over Christmas. The owner knocked the door to say hello and check we were ok and if we had any questions. Very local to shops, pubs and takeaways. Definitely would stay again

Very helpful hosts

The cottage is lovely. The decor matches the age of the property and exposed beams and has been very thoughtfully done. The kitchen is well equipped and there is plenty of space. The owners were really helpful and friendly. The nearby pub (10 minute walk) the Old Rydon Inn, does great food. It's not cheap but we felt it was value for money.

Large cottage, clean and today. All facilities provided inc internet. Lots to do within a short distance. Local pub down road with pool table. Lynne and Neil where great, really nice people. Many thanks for a great holiday 5*****
