Melkington Lodge is a Grade II listed detached cottage offering recently renovated accommodation for up to four people in the grounds of a countryside farm estate- it is a truly special space.
Located in the quiet countryside of Northumberland, with Berwick Upon Tweed and the Scottish Borders on the door step, we know guests are going to really love the area.
Inside the property is furnished to a high standard with all moder facilities. All the accommodation ground floor including the two spacious bedrooms. One double and one twin room with en-suite shower room. The double bed can be converted to single beds if preferable. There is a beautiful and bright lounge with a real fire and cosy interior. Wifi connection is strong and the fully fitted dining kitchen has all required amenities. We would also be happy to arrange for a cot or high chair should you plan on taking your little one! There is a family bathroom with both bath and overhead shower, as well as a useful utility room, perfect for outdoor guests!
All guests can look forward to being welcomed by a hamper of goodies and can enjoy watching the birds fleet in and out of the garden during their stay. The outside space boasts a pretty garden you can watch the sun set over the sweeping Cheviot Hills and the Eildons, whilst looking north you can see and the Lammermuirs of the Scottish Borders. You can stroll along the nearby lanes and smell the flowers, hear the birds singing and enjoy the peaceful farm scenery. The property also has use of the tennis courts, perfect for families with children or a keen tennis arm!
