A lovely little apartment. Very close to the town centre. We had a slight hiccup with access but it was resolved. It might have been quicker if the property manager answered the phone but Vrbo customer services got hold of the owner.
Extremely convenient location. Grocery stores, restaurants and coffee shops about 100 metre away. I would stay there again. The 3rd floor stairwell is a little tricky if you have mobility challenges as is the high step into the tub/ shower. Besides that, it’s hard to beat.
Really handy location for the town. Well equipped and clean. Stairs to apartment might be a struggle if you're not fully mobile, but good work out!
Parking wasn't an issue which in Bowness is a bonus.
Excellent apartment - right in the centre of Bowness-on-Windermere
Absolutely perfect for our needs. Very nice 2 bedrom apartment on 2nd floor with ample parking. Literally a one minute walk to the centre of Bowness-on-Windermere - the location could not have been better: the Co-op is on your doorstep and there is a selection of great dining (do visit the Flying Pig pub and Porto restaurant!). Communication from Andrew was spot on throughout our stay. We will be back and would have no hesitation in recommending this property.
We found the property overall good but there were lots of cobwebs, bathroom wasnt as clean as we would have it and the floors weren't as clean as expected. Everything else was fine

Hi Zoe, I really appreciate the feedback thanks. We take any issues with cleanliness very seriously. Could you provide any specific areas that weren't as clean as you would expect, or was it a general thing?
Thanks,
Andrew

Parking nightmare
The property was discribed as with parking. On arrival followed instructions for parking but there was no parking space available, contacted agent who said it was a known problem was told to park in public car park that was also full. After a 5 half hour drive, you just want to relax, not go looking for parking. It means every time you go out do not expect a parking space on your return. The flat could do with a deep clean especialy the cooker and hob, do the agents ever check it? The location is ideal, the flat is small and access is via narrow concrete steps, that would not be suitable for anyone with limited mobility. The parking issue means I will not return and willpoint this problem out to others.

This isn’t a large or very classy apartment but overall it was OK. It’s best feature for me by far is it’s very close proximity to central Bowness. I also enjoyed the balcony on warm sunny evenings. There were some minor downsides but they did add up. There are 28 concrete steps in the stairwell that accesses the apartment and another 100 steps to the residents shared car park. On arrival the main electric heater in the lounge didn’t work. I got it going by cleaning a burnt contact in the plug and fitting a new fuse. The toaster also had a mind of its own – I usually had to hold the leaver down for four minutes. Cleanliness was hit and miss with the bathroom being very clean but the main bed was a bit smelly on my first night. I discovered that while the main bedding had been changed the mattress protector hadn’t been washed and changed and had long black hairs on it and a urine stain. My socks also picked up a lot of dog hairs during the first few days. The bathroom sink was slow to drain and the kitchen sink was a bit whiffy from the overflow pipe but some cheap bleach from the very nearby Co-op soon sorted out these problems. It’s a shame about these cleanliness issues as without them I would have given four stars instead of three as the apartment is otherwise quite nice. During my stay I ordered several Amazon parcels, one of which will not unfortunately arrive until tomorrow (I am now back home). I have informed the property owner and am waiting to hear back from him.

The apartment was perfect for spending a few days in the lake district. It was beautifully presented with everything we needed. The location was perfect, plenty of lovely restaurants and a co-op right on the doorstep.
There is so much to do nearby, we enjoyed some lovely walks and great cycling. What a beautiful place!
We have just come back from our stay, we had a fantastic time and we highly recommend the accommodation and location. The facilities within the apartment are brilliant, very clean and modern, all that was needed for our family. The beds were really comfy and the bedding provided was lovely and fresh. Ample space for our family of 4, a lovely little balcony too and onsite parking. We have enjoyed our stay so much that we are looking to book again for next year.
Amazing location, literally with the town on the doorstep. Very clean and had everything we needed.
We will definitely book again.

We have visited the Lake District for many years and although things have changed, it's never lost it's charm.

A quiet residential area with only a stones throw walk to the hustle and bustle of central Bowness makes this a very unique property, perfect for both drivers and train-goers given it's free parking and short distance from local stations.
