About the host
Hosted by Emma Hurst
We, at The Cornish Holiday Company, have much pleasure in hosting this property for the owner, who has dedicated the time to make Turtle Cottage the perfect retreat for guests to enjoy. We are a locally based company and should you therefore require anything during your stay we are on call to assist.
Why they chose this property
Charlestown is steeped in history, a World Heritage site and is also part of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO). Even better, Turtle Cottage is only a minutes walk from this famous and picturesque harbour which has been used in many TV shows and films, including Poldark. It is surrounded by coffee & gift shops, eateries & watering holes and Charlestown beach. There are nearby coastal walks with stunning views over the sea, cliffs and nearby beaches such as Porthpean and Carloyn Bay where there are many watersports activities on offer. For the even more energetic, Carloyn Bay golf club is nearby too. A short drive from Charlestown is the Eden Project which is a world-renowned eco-tourism destination with biomes housing a vast variety of plant species. It is also here that events and renowned musicians play in concert.
What makes this property unique
Turtle Cottage couldn't be situated in a better position for seeing Charlestown as guests do not need to drive anywhere as everything is on your doorstep. Plenty of parking and an EV charger (small additional charge) are available at the property. Either side of Turtle Cottage is Starfish Cottage (sleeps 2) and Dolphin Cottage (sleeps 6). In total there is accommodation on this estate for 14 guests.
