Cozy little home snuggled in the mountains, with reat mountain views. The kitchen had everything i needed placed in a logical place. The bed was super comfy. We had a lively time at the Shenandoah National Park, and the Shenandoah River State Park, both minutes away.
The cottage was perfect for our quick getaway. Close to Shenandoah Valley National Park and the caverns. Love the porches and views. The space felt bigger than the photos even show! All the amenities we needed were available and the space was very comfortable. Highly recommend!
We spent two night, and the place was wonderful. The views of the mountains are magical. The location is great, and close to so many attractions. Highly recommend a visit here.
Great place to stay while exploring Shenandoah National Park
The Chalet was a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful views, especially the sunrise. Easy check in, the place was very clean, and it was perfect to unwind after a day of hiking. I'd highly recommend!
Very relaxing setting. Beautiful views. Appliances are in need of an upgrade. Kitchen is fully equipped. Firepit area was very nice and relaxing to sit at and read.
Perfect place for a girl’s weekend of hiking in the Shenandoah National Park and the Luray Greenway. Views were fantastic. About fifteen minutes to downtown Luray and thirty minutes to Stony Man mountain trailhead. Enjoyed days out and evenings in hot tub or inside looking out at beautiful view and storms coming in! Comfortable beds and well stocked with all the necessities (incl blue tooth speaker) to enjoy relaxing. Newly renovated.
We hosted a girls trip (plus one pup) at this simple, but impeccably clean house. The weather wasn’t great while we visited, but in nice weather the screened in porch would have totally maximized the living space. We really enjoyed the electric fireplace! :)
Note that bedsheets and towels are not included in the cost of the rental and you need to either bring your own or pay extra.

Vacation
This place was very cute, and very peaceful. My husband and myself had a nice week. Unfortunately it wasn’t what we were really looking for so we were disappointed. We usually go on vacation in North Carolina, we changed it up and went here to Virginia, not our favorite. Nothing bad about the house though! Great place and very, very relaxing. The stars at night while on the hot tub and the sunrises from the bedroom were our favorite!
Private small chalet in the woods. Private with everything you would need minus the linens and towels. The house is perfect for a small group of people. It was just me and my dog and it was the perfect getaway for a few days. I loaded up the fridge with whatever I was craving food and drink-wise and just relaxed, read a book, took short walks, got in the hot tub, and just enjoyed a little me time. Oh, and I had a fire in the pit a few nights too. Very quiet and peaceful. I will definitely go back.
Nice place, great view, listing accurately described property except fee for linens.
Enjoyed hot tub with great view. Nicely furnished, not lavish but very nice. Property was as described in listing. Pictures accurately represented the unit. Only surprise was learned there was an extra fee ($50) for linens. Glad I noticed it in the material sent after booking or don't know what we would have done. Price was still good but have never booked a place where linens were extra and had to make my bed.
2 bed 1 full and 1 half bath (which is confusingly advertised as 2 full baths in the description), with a great view and secluded but close to Luray and Royal and all the local wineries and hikes, with a clean and excellent 4 person hot tub. Owner did not answer first calls and did not call back until much later in the day, but was very nice and courteous. Kitchen fully stocked. Coffee machine is very slow and fireplace worked 1/5 times. Otherwise the cabin is not luxurious but definitely charming and clean. Would definitely recommend for weekend getaways in the Blue Ridge mountains.
Nice property, but the amenities were not up to par
We stayed for a total of 4 nights. Our first reaction when we pulled in was that the road was a gravel road and on a very steep hill, which is definitely not stated on the listing. The outside and inside of the cabin is nice and I would say clean. The only reason I would give this cabin such a low rating was because of the amenities… and the wasp nest on the deck. We were trying to enjoy the hot tub outside and had to cut it short because a carpenter bee was digging itself a home inside the cabin wood directly next to the wasp nest. My friend is allergic to bees and wasps… so this is not ideal.
Another thing is the $50 linens. I was under the assumption that because I was spending $50 on linens that they would provide the sheets needed for both bedrooms, but only provided sheets for 1 bed and pillow covers for 2 pillows. The towels and wash cloths provided were great though, but definitely need to up their game with the sheets. The sheets were also not put on the beds, but rather put in a laundry basket in the bathroom. We drove 7 hours to the cabin and were dead tired and went to go to bed and there was no sheets on the bed. As someone who just drove 7 hours to a cabin, that was really infuriating.
Pots and pans were provided which was awesome, as well as plates, cups, bowls, and silverware, but no measuring cups were provided. 1 roll of paper towels and 1 roll per bathroom of toilet paper were provided, but no tissues were provided. Overall not the worst cabin.
Absolutely adorable mountain cabin with perfect views and all the comforts of home. Loved the hot tub and the fire pit. Already looking forward to coming back again sometime.

Woodside Cabins is family owned and operated. Olga and I have been in the vacation cabin business for 20 years and take great pride in our properties. I grew up in the area and we both have a deep love and appreciation for the Blue Ridge Mountains and our beautiful Shenandoah Valley.
Why they chose this property
The Chalet offers one of the most beautiful sunrise views in the Shenandoah Valley. From almost all the living spaces in the cabin you can take in the spectacular view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. There is a large screen porch jsut off the kitchen with new wicker furniture and a table for 4.
What makes this property unique
The Chalet offers one of the most beautiful sunrise/moonrise views in the valley. If you wake early enough you can take your coffee to the hot tub and watch the sun come up over the Blue Ridge Mountains. In the evening the sun reflects off the mountains and the play of light is breathtaking.
