Welcome to Solitude! A cabin in the woods that was designed to bring the natural world into the comfort of the interior. Located on 3 wooded acres, in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, Solitude embodies the essence of simple living.

The cabin was very clean and comfortable. A nice location for exploring Luray and Shenandoah National Park. We had a baby with us and found the layout to be really nice for our family. We would definitely stay again!

This quaint little cabin nestled in the woods was the PERFECT get-away for me and my wife. We had a camp fire and used the hot tub to relax every night after our hikes in the Shenandoah Valley. It was stocked with everything we needed to cook the food we brought. We loved everything about it and will absolutely be back. Derek and Olga were fantastic to work with. 10/10 recommend them and their adorable property!!!

The hot tub was great after long hikes. The space is very comfortable. The area is quiet and secluded, about 15 minutes north of Luray and half an hour from the entrance to Shenandoah Park.

Weekend in heaven! The cabin was spotless, cozy and comfortable. We loved exploring Luray and then relaxing in the hot tub at night. Derek was super responsive and shared all the important information with us. We couldn’t have asked for a better ladies weekend away!

Great location for hiking in Shenandoah...it is conveniently placed for two entrances to the park. Shopping for groceries, etc was convenient in either Front Royal or Luray. The VRBO was clean and comfortable.Two "minor" inconveniences were the TV that required casting from my phone and I would prefer that the host add 50 to the rental fee rather than charging that as an "extra". The host was responsive.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay at Solitude. We appreciate your feedback on our linen policy. In order to offer a lower rate and better last minute deals, we allow our guests to choose to bring their own linens or to request the linen service and pay the additional $50 fee. We have had great success with this policy as many guests prefer to save a little money. As for the TV, it is a Smart TV and you can login to your accounts to watch the shows of your choice. Or you can cast from your device. Either way, you can watch the programming of your choosing.

Woodside Cabins is family owned and operated. Olga and I have been in the vacation cabin business for 20 years and take great pride in our properties. I grew up in the area and we both have a deep love and appreciation for the Blue Ridge Mountains and our beautiful Shenandoah Valley.

Solitude is exactly what the word implies. As you drive back the driveway and enter a world of towering white pines you will feel the woods encompass you. Built in 2015, the cabin was designed to bring the world outside into the interior. Numerous windows offer exceptional views of the surrounding woods and a glimpse of the mountains through the trees.
