The flat is in the centre of Bakewell with some local walks from the doorstep. Other attractions were very close, only about 10 minutes drive away. To reach the flat there are two flights of stairs with timed lighting all the way up. We were warned of this by Matthew as we are 78 and 80 years old although fit oldies. We didn't have a problem with the stairs however unloading and loading had to be done in stages. The flat is beautiful and very comfortable so well worth the two flights if stairs. Matthew was helpful and immediately responsive to any communication, a great host.
All in all the apartment was fine. Fridge shelf not 100% effective. It dropped a few times, so we could not shut the door. Close to town centre, which was a big plus. Just a minor irritant. We were part of a group staying in Bakewell. All in different rental accommodation. We all paid about the same price for the week, however nearly all were left a good welcome hamper on arrival. We were just left a small pack of biscuits. That was disappointing. Do not want to end on a negative. As stated all in all it was fine. Thank you.
