Salty Dogs is ideally located in the heart of the village, providing luxury accommodation for up to four guests. With the beach only two minutes away and a shop, pub, cafés and other amenities all within walking distance, it's the ideal choice for a stress-free, car-free holiday.
Downstairs, there's a well-equipped galley kitchen with electric oven and induction hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and Nespresso machine. Down a small step into the dining area with table and seating for four. Through to the living area where there is a comfortable three seater sofa and armchair to enjoy the wood burner and smart TV with DVD library. The spacious bathroom has a walk-in double shower, while a separate utility has a washing machine and other laundry equipment.
The traditional Norfolk Winder staircase (which some may find steep) leads up from the living area to two generous bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and another with two 3' single beds which can be linked together to form a superking double on request.
Outside, there's a private, paved courtyard style garden with large potted plants and outside seating including a dining table and chairs. There is access to the parking area via the back gate.

Delightful cottage
We really enjoyed our stay in this property. We have stayed in Winterton many times and although we have always enjoyed our holidays this cottage is particularly well presented and it has a lovely friendly ambiance - a proper home from home. The garden is secluded and really secure for dogs. Its location is ideal being less than a five minute walk from the dunes and the beach beyond. Fisherman’s Return pub and local supermarket are under five minutes away on foot. The owners provide a lovely welcome package for customers to enjoy, and the contents of the dog hamper had been well thought through. We have already booked Salty Dogs for another stay later in the year and are really looking forward to it!

Wonderful place to stay
Beautiful cottage in the best possible spot. Two minutes to the dunes and one minute to the pub. Very well stocked kitchen and bowls, beds and blankets for the dogs. We didn't need the fire because we were blessed with lovely weather. The back yard was a lovely sun trap. I would mention the very steep staircase . Caution is required.

Perfectly located cottage.
Saltydogs is wonderfully located right in the centre 5 minutes from the beach, the shop and the pub!
Tastefully decorated with some lovely features. Quality furnishings like windows, flooring, decor.
The owners are excellent hosts and very responsive. Spacious bedrooms. The cottage is lovely and warm, the welcome pack was also great.
The only negatives for me, and this is a personal preference is the soft memory foam mattress having spinal issues.
My doggy wouldn’t toilet in the paved garden but again not a negative for most.
I think the elderly and young children would struggle with the narrow spiral type stair case and be aware the bathroom is downstairs.
A cute and cosy cottage.

A Little Gem
We have stayed in Winterton many times but this was our first time at Salty Dogs and most definitely wont be our last. The location is perfect for the beach and the village provides all the essential amenities and more.As for the cottage, it was so cosy, warm and gave you a big hug. It was exceptionally well equipped and everything was top quality. It felt as if a lot of love and thought has gone into the cottage.. not just for us but for our four legged friend too. Stanley was very well accommodated and settled in very well. The most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. It was hard to get out of bed in the morning. The welcome gift was very much appreciated and a nice touch. We didn’t want to leave. In fact, we have walked past the cottage for a number of years and always admired it. When it came up for sale last year, we weren’t unfortunately in a position to buy it but we are delighted to have had the opportunity to stay and sample it. Suffice to say, we’ll be keeping an eye on Rightmove just in case it comes on the market again. We would have no hesitation recommending Salty Dogs.
