Mesmerizing Views, Charming, Airy 1BR condo in San Juan's Isla Verde Beach

We may not have control over all the circumstances that happen in our lives including while on vacation, but if I can make an uncomfortable situation a little more easier I most certainly will.

Everyone is unique. In my conversations with many of my past guests, what at first seems like a "must have", becomes a realization that they don't really miss the balcony because the unobstructed views from all windows and large sliding glass door windows, make up for it, which, by the way, are scheduled to be replaced in the fall maximizing even more ocean views! I'm happy to report all elevators are back in service! I'm sorry to hear about the one elevator that was out-of-service during that time. I'm grateful there are 2 other elevators - another main elevator and pool elevator. The condo administration does report malfunctions in a timely fashion, however, as is typical with island living, many times things don't move as quickly as in big cities of the U.S. or elsewhere. After long, considerable and careful thought, I decided to discontinue providing beach chairs and umbrella because often they were not returned, or were not treated with care. Sometimes you can negotiate a deal with the service provider of beach chairs and umbrellas at the beach.

It brings a smile to my face knowing that Patricia had a wonderful time despite the inconvenience of the AC. The AC was replaced. Regarding the futon, there are operating instructions in the apt located in a white binder. Nevertheless, guests can feel free to call me with any questions. It's the details of your review that help others make their decisions to rent especially for those who have never rented a condo. I hope you are settled in from your vacation. I'm perplexed by this review. I feel the title of the review and its contents are somewhat of a contradiction and was disappointed. Nevertheless, I'd like to address each point. First I want to mention that this a a true beachfront property and as such, sand and salt are natural elements of the environment. We ask our guest to wash off sand either in the shower or hose faucet by the pool area to minimize the sand in the interior. There are also signs in the premises that mention it. We hope everyone can abide by this but not everyone does. Ceramic tiles are a norm in the tropics; are durable, easy to clean spills, and withstand any flooding either by hurricane or machine machine malfunctioning. Wood flooring is discouraged for these reasons and can succumb to termite infestation. Daily room service is available in hotels. This is an apartment rental by owner. I could have certainly made daily maid service arrangements with my housekeeper to be paid directly to her had my guest requested it. This is actually a very good idea and going forward I will offer the service to my guest prior to booking. Windows require special cleaning services - workers strapped by harness in order to clean the window from the outside, This service is done every 2-3 months. As far as the bathroom, I'm not quite sure exactly what my guest meant by it needs TLC. The bathroom was renovated 8 years ago. Simple and timeless tiles were selected to withstand trends and to avoid becoming outdated. The bathroom is exactly how it looks in the pictures. I will be asking my guest to provide me with more details to see how I can further improve the bathroom. Overall, my guest took good care of the apt and would rent to him again.

Helga and her husband were a pleasure to have. Their daughter and, I believe, her husband joined them the last week. We had minor issues getting the door open on check-in. Helga apologized for the inconvenience of asking me for help. What she didn't realize is that it was no inconvenience to me at all. I felt It was an inconvenience to her because she was the one on vacation. In my 11 years of renting my home, I have found that most guests don't want to bother the owners. Calling the owner or property managers for question or for a specific need while in your home is no bother at all, at least not for me. I am here to help.
