Quaint cabin with beautiful views!

We stayed here for my 40th birthday. It was a great size for our large party and the view of the mountains was beautiful! It had everything we needed and the host was very responsive. I would stay here again!

LTU Men’s Lacrosse

Lawrence Tech Men’s Lacrosse traveled south during Spring Break to play games against opponents in Georgia and North Carolina. The property was exactly what we were looking for! Plenty of bed space and large rooms to gather in. Checking in and out was a breeze and the property manager, Kelley, communicated everything we needed to know. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Family time away in the mountains.

The cabin was great as was our host Kelley! What a great place for a family who loves to be together, sit together, cook together, and eat together. Quiet, clean, well-stocked. I highly recommend!

Amazing friends and family trip!

This house is perfect for multiple people with kids. The downstairs room with the bunk beds made the trip so much fun for our girls. It's a cozy house with everything you would need and having a hot tub was just another plus! We will come back to this house for sure!!

Spectacular Stay

Overall excellent choice and exceeded expectations. This home feels like "home" time you walk in...and the views...excellent!!! Very nice and spacious home. We never felt crowded and there was plenty of room to gather as a family and also space to have some down time as well... Kelly was a dream to work with.. definitely a great hostess.....ready to go back already...

Perfect place for large famiky gathering

The property was set in a beautiful location and was the perfect place to celebrate a special family birthday! Thoughtful appointments throughout including multiple appliances making it a to cook meals for lots of folks! great place Excellent proximity to popular sights! We loved our stay and appreciated the quick communication by the host! We were also grateful that our host communicating clearly about the devastation caused by hurricane Helene allowing us to make an informed decision! in the end we were grateful for to be able to support tourism in a much needed area and all the townspeople were incredibly grateful that we have continued on with our trip! The driveway is steep but that information was also well stated before we booked!

Wonderful home for large group!

We had a perfectly delightful stay at the Laurel Ridge Property. The home was clean and very well stocked with everything we needed including a portable crib and toys. We were especially thrilled with the abundance of towels available given our large group (9 adults, 2 toddlers and an infant). The location was perfect - just a short drive to some fun local breweries and only about 40 minutes from Asheville. Kelley was responsive to our various inquiries and was very accommodating in allowing a late checkout given we had late-day flights. We definitely can recommend this property to any large groups looking for a quiet mountain retreat.

Family Christmas

My husband and I came with our adult children and grandchildren for our annual after Christmas getaway. This property fully met our needs for space. The house is up some curvy mountain roads, but was easily accessible. The house was supplied with plenty of bedding, towels, and a fully stocked kitchen. We did find the stairs to be slick and could use a runner. We were very pleased!

Perfect home for a large group

We had 21 people in our group and this home was perfect for us. The home has plenty of room to spread out and yet still feel like a family. The two kitchens and two living rooms worked out great. I loved how there was plenty of dining space for everyone. The kids loved the loft area. The house was stocked with plenty of kitchen supplies and lots of linens for our large group. It was nice being on the mountain and feeling like you were far away however it was only a 10 minute drive to downtown and 15 minutes to Asheville the other direction. The driveway up was a little steep but you got used to it after the first drive up. All in all this home was beautiful and worked out great for our large crowd.

Beautiful, large space

The cabin is beautiful and spacious! We had more than enough room for our group of 12. The only downfall is the very, very steep driveway. It is very difficult to get up and down without scraping. Also, having to take the trash all the way to the entrance is a big inconvenience. Most of us flew in, so we did not have a car to do so. Luckily, the matter was resolved, but it was still a lot to do on top of all of the other check out tasks.

Great house 4 wheel drive required

This house is wonderful with lovely features. The price is a steal. Location is great. Host was superb. If you are not into steep driveways this isn’t for you. Getting to the house was very mountainous as well. That being said I drove a 15 passenger bus over the river and through the woods every day to get there. Basically if you are uncomfortable with steep and long and mountainous don’t start here. If you don’t mind walking up a long driveway and are used to driving in the mountains this house is great! Honestly it comes with the territory when staying in the black mountain area.

Super steep driveway

We were a total of 15. The house well supplied with HOT water, dishes, linens, cooking equipment ,beds, and seating both for leisure and eating. We had 5 vehicles and had sufficient parking. To call the drive steep is an understatement. If the drive is wet and you don't have all wheel drive you may not make it. Try low gear. Take caution on the deck as there are loose boards. A bear was seen on 3 occasions once directly above and behind the house. We did no bother him and he did not bother us. Overall the house was a great accommodation. The house was well priced, we were not missing out on any amenities.

We had a great stay! The house is gorgeous and it was so nice relaxing on the porch with coffee and the view of the monutains or by the fireplace in the evening. Our pups loved the house too and being cozy by the fire. Great location and only 5 minutes to everything in Black Mountain and 20minutes to downtown Asheville.
