Set on seven acres of land, this property sits mere feet from the ocean with some of the finest views of Frenchman's Bay and Acadia National Park. This log cabin has been lovingly restored and added to over the years! A spacious deck, with lots of seating, overlooks the breathtaking views. The screened-in porch provides a lovely place to rest after a long day of activities at nearby Acadia National Park at Schoodic Peninsula. The main cottage is suitable for 6 guests in 3 bedrooms. The fully equipped kitchen makes cooking fun and part of the social activity of the cottage. The basement houses the laundry and 2 bikes which you are free to use. There are two full bathrooms in the main cabin equipped with everything you may need. The property is an easy, scenic 1 hour drive from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. If you're feeling adventurous, you and your guests can take the local ferry across the bay, leaving frequently from nearby Winter Harbor (reservations required). Come wrap up in a blanket, sit on the porch with one of Maine's many craft beers, and take in the views and tranquility on the Maine coast.

We enjoyed every bit of our stay and the cottage was absolutely perfect! We wish we could have stayed longer but hope to be back in the future! The cottage was just as it was described, if not better, and the host was quick to respond to any questions we had! Thank you for helping us make our family vacation so wonderful!
The cottage was lovely and eminently comfortable for family and friends. The location is a classic slice of Down East Maine - a view of Mount Desert Island famous far and wide. Thank you to our hosts!

We are the Coleman-Wight family! We live in Boulder, Colorado and have been coming to this beautiful slice of paradise for more than 2 decades. It is a wonderful place to get away and reconnect with good friends, family, great seafood and nature.
Why they chose this property
We love our seaside cottage with access to Acadia National Park on the Schoodic Peninsula as well as to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park on Mt. Desert Island. Both Parks offer ample hiking and biking trails both on- and off-road. We also love our quaint downtown (Winter Harbor-only 4 miles away) where you can get an ice cream, breakfast, a yummy lunch or a fine-dining experience in addition to a fully-stocked, old-fashioned 5 & 10, a grocery store, a fine provisions store and art galleries. A ferry, with multiple trips back and forth daily between Winter Harbor and Bar Harbor is located downtown as well. Bikes are welcome on board. Free transportation throughout both parks is provided by L.L. Bean shuttle buses.
What makes this property unique
The cottage has a million-dollar view of Frenchman's Bay and Acadia National Park @ Mt. Desert Island. It is located on a "quintessentially Maine" harbor where lobster fisherman come and go throughout the day. The location is extremely private and takes full advantage of the magnificent views. An historic, tiny cemetery is located on the property and incorporated into the landscaping; it is fully screened from view. No ghosts have been sighted!
