Thank you, we are so happy to hear this. It was a pleasure to host you here and please let us know whenever you are ready to return.
This place is not to be missed in Sedona. Privacy, serenity and views for days. Hosts are amazing and room was thoughtfully curated. We notice hidden gems every day to our surprise and delight. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of Huibs wine list.
Absolutely beautiful property with breathtaking views. Iona was a wonderful host. Perfect for a getaway to unwind, relax, and escape the busy routines. The apartment was well stocked and had everything we needed. The spa amenities were second to none. Thank you for sharing your sanctuary with us. (:

It was a pleasure having you here, thank you for your incredibly kind words. I am so happy you enjoyed your stay and that you left feeling refreshed and re-energized. You are welcome back anytime!
Warmest wishes, Iona
This was our first time to Sedona to celebrate our anniversary. Fell in love with the listing so was worth the expense, or so we thought. That evening we woke up from a nap to a mouse in the room. The owner came to the room and trapped into a corner and left it there he tried to convince us that they had never had one before I felt so bad because we had been so excited to be kid free on vacation we left for a drive and tried to decide what to do we decided to go back at this time it was 11:30pm as soon as we walked in, there was another mouse crawling up the brick wall. At this point we knew we could not stay here. The owner stated that since they chased this one and trapped it behind the fridge that there was definitely not anymore. At that point we were done. It was after midnight and we had no where to stay. frantically looking online for somewhere to stay after paying for this place trying to figure out how to pay for another room in sedona last minute was horrible and stressful. The owner said he would refund us 100% and he did however we didn't get the money back in our account until 7 to 10 days later. our entire anniversary weekend was totally ruined. No money and no where nice to stay. We found another room around 2am and paid over 600 for the night but no massages were able to ve scheduled because it was last minute so there went all of our vacation plans and money being in sedona and not being able to do anything the rest of the weekend totally destroyed our vacation. My sister who also has a VRBO rental heard what happened and said she would have found a place for us to stay paid for our room. It was just an all around total disappointment. worst anniversary weekend ever.

We were, and still are so extremely sorry that you had this experience with the two mice on our property, we are in the middle of nature, but despite that, as can be seen in all of our reviews, there has never been a mention of this kind of problem, we have over 950 5-Star reviews on another major rental platform and this has not been an issue either prior to you being here, nor after you left (please know that we did bring in a professional company to ensure that the problem was totally resolved.)
We were however a little surprised by your review, as when you left, while you were of course very understandably upset, you seemed satisfied that we had taken all the steps we possibly could to try to rectify the situation. Even in your message to us afterwards you mentioned that you would like to return another time.
As you know, Huib was there on the scene as soon as he received your message about the mouse and worked hard to try to resolve the situation, when it became clear that the situation wasn't tenable we did ensure that you would receive a 100% refund, including a net difference that I paid separately as VRBO would not refund 100%, but I wanted to be sure you were fully refunded. We actually did not know that VRBO would take 10 days to refund you, as this is not something that we have in our control. Also Huib did give you a beautiful bottle of wine from our cellar as another way to say sorry. We truly were not quite sure what else we could have done, and, if there had been anything else, we would have gladly done it.
With regards to booking another place to stay, we did not realize you wanted us to do that for you, as you did not ask us and your wife was already researching alternatives online while Huib was working on capturing the mouse, had we known that you wanted us to book it for you, we would certainly have taken care of that.
Again, we are so very sorry this happened while you were here, the problem likely occurred if the guest prior had left their screen door open too long and had food on the counter or coffee table. We do remind guests to keep their screen doors closed, as we are in the middle of the red rocks with nature on all sides. It has not happened since.
While we recognize that it doesn't make it better for you, please know that the situation is resolved here on property. We had sincerely hoped that the steps we took to try to remediate the situation that night were enough.
We do thank you for your feedback.
We were met with gracious hosts upon arrival, pure relaxation the moment we drove thru the front gate. Excellent accommodations and amenities. Extremely quiet, peaceful and the views oh my!! Close to run into town but on property you feel a 100 miles from anything. Amazing views for enjoying wine in afternoon to coffee waking up. Everything about this place was spectacular. Will return again, hopefully soon. If you can book a few nights you will be so pleased. The hosts text me and were in contact with anything we asked for but we were left alone as we were wanting quiet time alone. Fantastic wine selection in room plus good snacks, very thoughtful. Bedding was heaven too. We originally booked 2 nights as that was the only availability but host text us and had a last min cancelation and offered us one extra night. We quickly said yes! Our only complaint about this rental is we didn’t have enough time there! Will be dreaming about this place for a long time to come! Book it, run don’t wait!
We had a magical week hiking the local trails, enjoying our in room fireplace and relaxing in the most beautiful setting. Iona and Hub we wonderful hosts and the property was impeccable and so peaceful.

Thank you so much for your kind review, it was a pleasure to host you here!
My Wife and I enjoyed our honeymoon at this retreat. Very secluded and the amenities were great. We would come back here in the future. Thanks to the owners and everyone else on the property that helped us during our stay!
Our stay in the Guest Suite was the perfect relaxing ending to our Southwest honeymoon. Iona and Huib were very easy to correspond with and flexible with our arrival time. Upon arrival we were given a tour of the room and beautiful property. The room was as advertised with a stunning view right from the bed. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and hike around the property. We felt very welcomed and also had privacy. Thank you, Huib and Iona for a wonderful accommodation!
Spectacular views in a private setting! Huib and Ione were gracious hosts and we had everything we could possible need! We also booked treatments and wine tasting and enjoyed both! We will be back!

About the host
Hosted by Iona & Huib
Our goal is to create a sanctuary, a space where magic can happen for our guests, a place of connection, restoration and transformation.
We are total romantics at heart. We love beauty, travel and exploration, we enjoy getting to know people, immersing ourselves in new cultures and experiences, we are grounded in spirituality and we love all the classics, art, ballet, music, poetry and last, but not least, great wine and unforgettable dining experiences. Our goal is to create a beautiful, welcoming space away from the chaos of daily life, where our guests can truly rest, relax, restore and reconnect with the essence of life. Our main wish is that all our guests depart refreshed, re-energized, transformed and happy, ready to embrace all that life has to offer.
Why they chose this property
This is one of a handful of historic buildings in Sedona. Designed by Bob McIntyre who also architected the famous Tlaquepaque Arts and Shopping Center and other unique buildings in Sedona. When you look closely at the adobe brick walls, notice how they curve, a hallmark of McIntyre’s style and something that very few would replicate today. In addition to having a very unique architecture our home has a strong and unusual lineage of owners. Originally built by Platt Cline (the Flagstaff newspaper editor after whom NAU’s Cline library was named), our home was lovingly owned by Ann Miller, a Hollywood actress in the 1940’ and then by the Wrigley family. We feel honored to be the stewards of this historic property in Sedona and while we modernize we are constantly ensuring that we continue to respect the beauty of the architecture and the legacy that the previous owners left for us.
We also have a beautiful new deluxe Hot Spring therapeutic hot tub designed to target specific muscle groups (very relaxing and incredibly soothing) and a salt water swimming pool (solar heated), aromatherapy steam room and professional grade dry sauna, all fully available for guests to enjoy with spacious areas for relaxing.
What makes this property unique
Highest residential point in Sedona, unobstructed red rock views, tranquil, transformative space where our guests can relax, restore, refresh and reconnect with nature, with each other and themselves. Private trail head with access to 14+ hiking trails including Sugarloaf Mountain, Coffee Pot, Devil's Kitchen, Tea Cup, Andante Trail, Seven Sacred Pools, Soldier's Pass. Onsite Healing modalities available to guests where we offer Myofascial Release, Reiki, Meditation, Acoustic Sound Immersion, Private Yoga and Life Coaching.
