About this property

Villa 454 Prescott Building

This is a beautiful 2 bedroom 1 1/2 bath Villa located in the oceanfront resort of Villas by the Sea. Walk among the oaks or take a short stroll to Driftwood beach. Children can enjoy the Pirate Ship playground and for the adults there is a fitness room. When you need to cool off there is a pool for the adults and one for the kiddies The resort offers a full restaurant and lounge.
When you enter our villa you will find an open plan living room, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. There is a large flat screen TV and sliding doors leading to a patio area with seating. Our villa has small views of the ocean, but leave the doors open and listen to the crashing surf or feel the the Atlantic breeze. There is a half bath on this level for your convenience.
Our villa has tile floors throughout. Upstairs you will find 2 bedrooms and a full bath with a tub/shower combo. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, TV, plenty of storage for your clothes and an additional balcony.The second bedroom offers 2 twin beds for the children or extra guests. There is also a small TV in this room.

THIS UNIT IS NOT PET FRIENDLY. NO SMOKING.

***IMPORTANT NOTICE - THE POOL AT VILLAS BY THE SEA WILL BE CLOSED FOR REPAIRS BEGINNING MARCH 24, 2026, FOR 2-3 WEEKS.

Linens are provided with this unit, as well as a starter set of paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, and some personal amenity items. These items will not be replenished during your stay.

Villas by the Seas has 3 coin-operated laundry rooms accessible with your key cards.

PLEASE NOTE:
***Beach Access May Not Be Available At High Tide*** During high tide, please enjoy the oceanfront boardwalk OR swimming pool at VBTS or use one of the public beach access parks south of the Holiday Inn.

NOTE: Rental guests are not allowed to have pets in the cottage at any time. This doesn’t imply that the rental is a completely pet-free property. If our no pet or no smoking policy is broken, a $1000 fine will be charged to the card on file AND you will be asked to vacate the property without a refund.

Jekyll island gem

If you love Jekyll Island this is a great spot, close to everything on the island. Access to the beach from the unit is limited because they are constructing a new walkway that will be incredible, but There are plenty of other beaches to enjoy. . Renovations are underway on the property but you wouldn’t know except for the signs. Don’t miss the pool which is a hidden gem. Looking forward to a return visit.

Worked for us

The property had almost everything you need for your stay. Plenty of linens and kitchen items, but nothing to clean with. Needs kitchen towels and a mop. It was dirty. The floor was sandy when we arrived, food crumbs in kitchen, old towels left hanging and clothes left in the closet. The listing stated washer and dryer, but they are located in another building, not each unit. Villa 454 provided is a nice place for our family to rest and vacation.

The condo community was lovely, nicely wooded with winding pathways. The problem was that there is almost no beach. We had to wait 3hours AFTER high tide to have enough room for a beach walk. Not knowing anything about the area, when looking for accommodations I was specifically draw to this condo description re: location to beach. Also I did not feel like this was a true VRBO since it was managed by a professional group...there was no interaction with the owner which is one part of VRBO that I like. There was a bizarre plumbing issue that was fixed in a somewhat reasonable time but was very uncomfortable.. The condo was adequate and Jekyll Island is lovely

Villas near Driftwood Beach

Great location within walking distance to Driftwood Beach but if you want a wide sandy beach for most of the day you must drive a mile down the road. Also short drive to fishing pier and park. Condo is ok but needs some TLC. Decks were not swept when we arrived, no dish towels, no coffee filters, no salt/pepper. Need to be aware there’s no washer/dryer in the unit but a “community” laundromat close by. We loved Jekyll and had a great time and with a little attention the Villa could be a 5 star.

Great location and nice condo

We enjoyed our stay here very much and the condo was nice. It probably needs an update but it was a good value, clean and had all we needed for a great week. A note from the real estate agent telling us how to check in would have been nice, we had to go to the check in for the other villas and the concierge was nice enough to tell us what to do. Usually the property manager or owner sends that information before arrival so we weren’t sure when we didn’t get any more information after booking. But I would still recommend this place. The kitchen had a good amount of cooking tools and we were very happy.

Nice getaway

Place was great, 5 minute walk to Driftwood Beach, we rented an electric car and roamed around the island. Jekyll is beautiful!!!

Weekend gateway during COVID times

The property was as advertised. It had everything we needed to cook meals and was a short walk to a driftwood beach and walking trails. Social distancing did not seem to be a priority for many of other tourists, but the island has a lot of room so we were able to stay to ourselves and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Outstanding stay!

The unit was even better than expected! Clean, well furnished, beautifully decorated. Even had a wonderful assortment of books and magazines. The kitchen was well supplied with cooking utensils. There was reconstruction on the beach but we were entertained watching the dump trucks, bulldozers and giant claw moving in and distributing the new sand! Our stay on Jekyll was wonderful! We will be back!
