Saturday to Saturday weekly rentals (7 day) preferred for summer rentals!!
Perfect and charming three-bedroom with knotty pine interior and shingled cottage exterior. New appliances, Jotul propane stove, washer and dryer. On 5+ private and well-wooded acres with 293 +/- feet of gorgeous smooth, flat ledge water front on Grand Marsh Bay. This is what everyone dreams of finding when they think of the coast of Maine.
Two tandem kayaks and four mountain/hybrid bikes come with the rental property. Enjoy the natural beauty and wildlife of Corea Heath-Grand Marsh protected areas. Paddle to the salt marsh and explore its winding channel. Count great blue herons. Watch bald eagles and osprey flying overhead. Spot a seal at high-tide. Swim off the rocks by the house, at two nearby [rare] sand beaches, or warmer, freshwater at Jone's Pond picnic area. Bike the loop-road through nearby Acadia National Park's Schoodic portion. Explore Downeast Maine's historic towns and villages.
Enjoy summer-fall concerts, art exhibits, and performances.
Visit Acadia National Park - Schoodic Peninsula: The only section of Acadia located on the mainland, the park comprises a loop that begins in Winter Harbor following the coast ending at Birch Harbor. Just inside Acadia's boundaries is a picnic area with tables and grills. Picnic surrounded by wild roses, explore the rocks along the shore, watch sailboats tack across the waters while you eat. - Bike to Schoodic Point. Biking in Maine is great, but this small stretch of road is extraordinary. The Schoodic Section of Acadia has a one-way loop road that hugs the coast through the Park. - Hike to the top of Schoodic Head. Numerous trails lead to extraordinary views from Schoodic's 400 ft summit. In addition, to a 360-degree survey of Downeast Maine this small peak overlooking the Atlantic exposes visitors to a sub-alpine ecological zone. Dwarf vegetation and low-bush blueberry hug the thin, rocky soil. Cross the tidal land-bridge to Little Moose Island.
Daytrip in Rustic Downeast Maine. : Drive along the forty-mile Acadia Scenic Byway. Explore winter Harbor and the grand Victorian 'cottages' of Grindstone Neck. Or, cruise the last stretch of coastal Route 1 in the United States. Pass through the quiet coastal towns of Stueben, Jonesport, and Machias. Enjoy endless views and rolling blueberry barrens. Some say, Helen's in Machias makes the best blueberry pies in the USA. Take an inland route home passing through historic Cherryfield and other small towns. Visit nearby Bartlett Maine Estate Winery for a tasting. - There are at least five bikes included with the property at any given time, often more. They are high quality mountain and hybrid bikes including Gary Fisher, Cannondale, Marin, Schwinn, and others. The bikes are suitable for teens through adults. Helmets are available for use. We also have a bike trailer for two toddlers - please bring toddler helmets. Be sure to bring your own bike rack - the bikes can be taken to Acadia park and other great riding locations.
Drive or Take the Ferry to Mt. Desert Island.: A passenger ferry connects Winter Harbor and Bar Harbor on Mt. Desert Island. The Island Explorer bus service shuttles passengers free-of-charge to numerous destinations throughout Acadia National Park and across the Island. This service also operate between Winter Harbor-Birch Harbor-Prospect Harbor on the Schoodic Peninsula. The town of Bar Harbor has great energy. It offers a large number of independent shops and restaurants. The dining holds its own with any major city. It is a commercial, yet charming town with an active daytime crowd and equally active nightlife. Curiosities like the Whale Museum make Bar Harbor an excellent place to visit. - Drive to the top of Cadillac Mountain in Acadia Nation Park and see the entire region. - Two ocean kayak sit-on-top boats, one tandem kayak, and two solo kayaks may be used in the Bay or taken to another beautiful paddling spot. Life jackets for adults and children are available and mandatory when using the kayaks. Light weight paddles are included. Roof rack NOT provided.

Great location - a balance of quiet getaway and close enough to visit Acadia & Bar Harbor. LOVED the included bikes so we could ride the carriage roads and the kayaks were fantastic - make sure you watch tide times if you don't have a leisurely schedule.
This place was fantastic! In the middle of the woods super private! The place was the cleanest I have stayed in and they had everything we needed for a wonderful stay!!It is highly recommended if you want to get off the grid yet still visit Acadia and Bar Harbor.Izak was great at giving us recommendations for all different types of activities and restaurants. We will definitely be booking again!
Very comfortable house and private location. Everything was as listed and we all had a great time. Theres a nice sand beach at end of grand marsh bay road... and a pebble beach at Sand Cove. I launched my inflatable boat from Sand Cove and caught some nice mackerel for dinner one day. Overall the house was great... many thanks
Everything we needed, very comfortable for our family of 6 to spend time together as well as have a little space to spread out but still enjoy being "together.
The home was located in a quiet location with a wooded drive. We had plenty of room to relax in the home that offered outdoor entertainment and indoor enrichment(books, games, activities). The kitchen was well stocked and found everything easily. We enjoyed the setting, bikes, kayaks and explored gouldsboro bay. The kids were enthralled by the moss which inspired them to sit outside and play-feeling right at home. The hosts had many suggestions on where to explore. We hope to visit the area again! It was a pleasure to stay in this home!
This cabin is a quiet and secluded spot in the woods. It’s small but nicely appointed and very clean. I loved waking up to the sounds of nature (loons on the marsh). Communication with the host was easy and prompt.
Beautiful spot! My kids loved exploring the shoreline at low tide and sliding down/jumping off the rocks at high tide. Such a peaceful quiet area. We saw lots of birds kayaking by the wetlands in the bay. Perfect spot for hiking the Schoodic Peninsula of Acadia NP and enjoying great seafood restaurants. Even though the main section of Acadia NP was about an hour, it was so nice to stay far away from the crowds! The owners provided lots of useful info about the area. Far exceeded my expectations which were already high;)
This property was great for visiting the Schoodic Peninsula side of Acadia. The waterfront at the house was gorgeous and the interior was perfect for our family!
The house was as advertised and most importantly clean. Exactly what we wanted. Plenty of room for my family of four to spend quiet time relaxing. We loved having access to the kayaks and bikes. If we return I would bring my bike rack to be able to explore further. After a day of exploring we enjoyed family time with board games and movies. Sitting on the screened in porch with coffee in the morning looking at the dappled view of the water was a wonderful way to start the day. It’s a 20 minute drive to Schoodic Peninsula and about an hour to Acadia a great location.
We stayed over the weekend of the Fourth of July and were so thankful for the quiet and secluded rental. After visiting the extremely busy Bar Harbor, we loved coming back and kayaking on the Bay. The house was extremely clean and well cared for. The house was well stocked and provided our family including three teenagers a relaxing stay.
This property was a great base camp from which to explore the Schoodic peninsula and down east Maine. We really enjoyed the tranquility of the area and especially the quieter pace in Corea, Prospect Harbor, Winter Harbor etc. We spent a lot of time kayaking and enjoyed the use of the screen porch. The hosts were very hospitable.
We’d love to go back again !
Stayed a week and had great time. Loved having bikes and kayaks. Cabin was beautiful and very relaxing. We spent a lot of time on screened in porch listening to red squirrels. The recommendations for area attractions were great as well, puffin watching was highlight!
Beautiful house, clean, neat with everything you could possibly need. Loved being away from the hustle, could hear the leaves falling from trees. Kayaks were so nice to have, we glided through the beautiful marsh and bay, so relaxing.

Always happy to know the house is enjoyed by others as much as by us. The washer and dryer were replaced last week. Sorry this only occurred after your stay.
Charming and perfect for our family. Our daughter requested away from the crowds and the wooded setting was perfect. The house was clean and comfortable with lots of extras...games, kayaks, bikes, books, etc
This location is perfect for those that want to disconnect from all the worlds problems. Just the right amount of solitude with no WIFI. Not to far off the beaten path but far enough.
Great place if you want to enjoy quiet ME. The hosts are great, responsive and helpful. The space is fantastic and walking down to the water is so restful. And they have great bikes, kayaks, and what you want for an active trip.
If it's important to you to be near restaurants and entertainment then you're signing up for some driving. If you like a quiet place with the quiet part of Acadia right next door then you can't beat this.
This is our second stay at Flora's Dream. It is a lovely retreat and truly a beautiful spot to unwind and reconnect. Plenty to do should you decide to venture out. The hosts provide specific helpful information and recommendations. The home itself is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. We look forward to visiting again!!
