Stay in a historical building situated in the middle of one of Portland's most beautiful blocks. Despite the quiet, leafy surroundings you will be only 2 blocks from Congress Street's best restaurants (Local 188, Tandem, Hot Suppa etc), bars (Bramhall, Ruskis) live music venues (Longfellow Square, Blue, State Theatre etc) and grocery \butcher(Rosemont Market, Fresh Approach). All the best restaurants and bars are on Congress Street, which you could walk to reach Old Port's tourist areas. 5 minute walk through a really nice neighborhood to Maine Medical Hospital (for traveling nurses). AC is only downstairs so on hot days the bedrooms can get very hot.

This property was a great home base on our trip to Maine. It's spacious and comfortable and the host provided all of the amenities that made for a nice stay. Portland itself is really walkable and this location has some great restaurants and shops nearby. Having a parking spot was helpful. 10/10 would book another stay at this property.

The property was very clean and the host was responsive. Note that the AC is only on the main level, not where the bedrooms are and it gets very hot. The host provided fans to help but for the price I would have liked to be able to use the full unit and we couldn't use the upstairs bedrooms for anything but holding suitcases due to the extreme temperatures.

It's a great location, two story with stairs to the bedroom areas. The facility was perfect for our stay in May. There's an A/C in the lower level and fans on the upper level. The bed is not rock hard, it's soft enough to enjoy sleeping in it. The shower/bath facility was good. The only thing I'd like to see is perhaps a basket to better hold shampoo/conditioner containers we brought. Easy fix. Anyway, we enjoyed our stay there.

I will start off by saying that the property was very clean and the location was good. We had some issues checking in due to not being provided all of the information we needed in the check in instructions to be able to access our room. We were only provided with the access code for the lock box but also needed the access code for the font door. We also had some difficulties getting ahold of the host at first to resolve. Customer service was eventually able to assist but this did put a bit of a damper on our trip.I'm sure this would be a lovely place to stay in the spring or fall but the upstairs was pretty hot/stuffy in the summer, just something to keep in mind if booking in the warmer months.

This home is near the hospital which was the purpose of my visit. The home was adequate for my needs. However, there is no ventilation and it became very stuffy. Being able to open a window would have helped.

Check in was quick and easy. The property is located within walking distance to shops and restaurants, or a quick Uber to the docks. There is a dedicated parking spot in the rear lot. Unit 4 does have a window/wall AC unit that keeps the main floor very cool. The upstairs bedroom area does get warm during the day but cools off in the evening. There are plenty of large fans in the upstairs closets to help out as well. Host communicated clear check in and check out instructions.
