Two bedrooms are furnished with queen beds, making Wietenah ideal for couples to share or a small family to base themselves in.
The Space: Wietenah is situated in a historically significant part of Hobart and has been thoughtfully renovated to honour its original character while introducing a warm, inviting feel through considered architectural updates and modern finishes.
The home features two generous bedrooms, each fitted with queen beds and showcasing beautiful original fireplaces (not in use), adding a sense of heritage and charm to each space. The bathroom has been updated with sleek contemporary tiling, contrasted by exposed sandstone walls that reflect the building’s original structure.
A comfortable lounge provides a relaxed space to unwind, complete with seating and a smart TV for streaming your favourite shows.
The galley-style kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and everything needed for an easy, convenient stay. Just a short walk or drive away is the flagship Hill Street Grocer, a local favourite offering premium produce, deli items, and everyday essentials—ideal for guests who prefer to self-cater.
Start the day with coffee on the sunny enclosed porch or spend time in the neatly maintained backyard. Positioned close to the CBD, Wietenah offers easy access to Hobart’s inner-city attractions, dining, and waterfront, making it a well-located and character-filled base for exploring the city.
Guest Access: The house is made available for guests to enjoy in private. Guests have access to all areas.
The Neighborhood: West Hobart is a trendy inner-city suburb of Hobart. Streets are lined with Victorian and Federation houses and there are various popular cafes, pubs and shops to enjoy. The CBD is within comfortable walking distance, otherwise taxis and Uber are easily accessible at a cost of around $10 for a ride into town.
Knocklofty Reserve is a popular walking track close by and there are also several playgrounds for children to enjoy.
Getting Around: Public transport or Taxis/Uber are easily accessible from West Hobart. Walking is also an option. Hobart has ride-sharing scooters available, simply download either the Neuron (orange scooters) or Beam (purple scooters) app to locate a scooter nearby.
