The Watt’s property is a hidden gem in Sorrento Bay! We felt like we were in a tree house overlooking the bay towards Wellington. So many welcoming touches, milk, coffee, teas, bread, jams, fruit, cookies and an absolutely heart warming touch if you are traveling from abroad-I’ll save that for a surprise. Great location to Lower and Upper Hut for access to amazing biking. The decor details added to the experience making us want to enjoy every minute there. The hosts are incredibly friendly and welcoming this is the place to stay if you are in the area.
Very pleasant and comfortable stay. Great location and views. Tricky access but worth it for the seclusion and outlook. Would definitely love to stay again.
Quirky, funky little place with great views. Easy drive around the bays & access to Wellington via the ferry. Tricky driveway with a large vehicle, but otherwise great little pad.
Everything about our accommodation was outstanding, from the property itself and its amenities, the location and the amazing vista and topped off by very gracious and helpful hosts.
We stayed here for 3 nights. The views are spectacular. It was a good location for exploring Wellington and also for our early ferry crossing to the South Island. Overall it was a pleasant stay. The hosts are friendly and helpful.
Beautiful tranquil home, we loved every minute here. The owners were next door, and made us welcome - great hosts leaving us home baking and breakfast. We’ll be back!
Beautiful view of harbour in a unique architectual style building. Hosts Gill and Gus we very hospitable and the home baked goodies were much appreciated.
The hosts were very friendly and helpful . The property was definitely a lovely retreat! It was well stocked with everything you would need with some personal touches . It felt like we were holidaying on a Greek Island.
Wow! We felt at home here with very friendly & thoughtful hosts. The views were amazing, we loved the under floor heating it was so warm & cosy. The attention to detail & tasty food supplied, everything was good quality. We loved our stay & will be back!
An amazingly unique property. Friendly hosts with great communication. We had a fabulous weekend playing golf and took the time to relax in the property afterwards whilst soaking up the amazing views on offer.
Wonderful views, beautiful house, and friendly owners. Bathroom is good, kitchen as well - downstairs bedroom is perfect - upper bedroom access requires good strength in the legs and a slim waistline!
Totally recommended and would go again
Lovely property with lots of artistic and quirky touches. All good quality with excellent facilites, space and views. Thoughtful welcome provisions and particulaly lovely home made muesli cookies and presrves. Didnt need to brave the stairs to upper bedroom as just the two of us. Helpful hosts. All in all, an excellent stay.
It's love at first sight with this quirky property! Views for days and sun streams in which makes this the ideal getaway. Hosts very welcoming and breakfast supplies hit the spot. Only thing to note other than the steep drive (low gear a must!) is the narrow staircase to the upstairs bedroom - if you're blessed with being bodacious then getting up to the room will induce much laughter as contortion is required, the bedroom on the level below is more suitable in this case 😊 Overall, top notch stay!
Beautiful spot with a beautiful view. Appreciated the little touches with milk, butter etc. It saved us having to find a supermarket for a cuppa when we arrived.
Gill and her husband live next door so handy if we needed anything. The stairs to the upstairs bedroom are tricky, and despite Gill communicating that they were tricky to navigate, maybe letting people know that the width to get up them was about 30-40cm maybe? Child bearing hips made it a little tight for us mums to get up there!
Overall was a lovely place to stay and I would love to come back with Hubby in the near future
Waren tolle Tage. Vielen Dank für Eure Gestfreundschaft, Gus und Gill!
Lovely, warm cozy house with the most amazing view. Well equipped with welcoming thoughtful hosts.
If you've a big vehicle the parking space could be a little tricky for manoeuvering.
