Very central, great for party lovers
Stayed for a month over Christmas and New Year. Pros: The apartment is centrally located, in walking distance to many attractions, and close to the Metro, taxis, bistrots, cafes and a few supermarkets. It contains nearly everything you need including a comforable bed, good hot shower, a washing machine and basic cooking equipment. It has a (not very reliable) lift after one flight of stairs.
Cons: The street is extremely touristy and the apartments are located above a pub, which makes it extremely noisy at night (until 4.00 am). The apartment looks a bit tired and is in need of refurbishing and repainting. It is very dark as there is frosted glass in the living area windows, The vinyl headboard in the bedroom sheds pieces of black plastic into the bed. There is no shelving for clothes, only a tired plastic shoe hanging device. A chair in the lounge is sprung. There is no functioning clothes drying rack. Coffe making machine is unusable. The kettle leaks water eveywhere and there were no wine glasses (in France!). The apartment is dusty and all the curtains were dirty and in need of reguar cleaning. There was a mouse living in the kitchen. The hallways smelled mouldy and were never aired. The management responded promptly the two times the lift broke down but failed to deliver on promised replacement of broken clothes drying rack. The inventory process for long stays was annoying and uneccessary and the price for electricity was steep, over 400 euros for the month.
