The location was perfect for us. Quiet, on the water, and with close proximity to hiking trails in East Sooke Regional Park. Our dogs loved the backyard and playing “hide and seek” around the trees. Very fun to walk out to the Basin at low tide and see oysters and sea stars. The cottage itself was comfortable and Theresa was very responsive. The day of check-in we requested arriving an hour earlier and it was no problem. Overall, a great stay!

Relaxing getaway

The cottage was lovely. Even better than the photos. A bird watcher's paradise. Super quiet location with easy access to all sooke/east sooke have to offer. I would definitely go back!

Wonderful little cabin. Loved the welcoming sign with our names on it. The view was amazing even though it rained pretty hard. I could see myself spending most of the day sitting on the deck in more favourable weather. Everything we needed was there. Had a bit of a power outage but Hydro got right on it and had it up and running in no time. Would definitely recommend this place. Host were very accommodating and answered my questions in a timely manner.

Spectacular property and cottage

This is an incredible property and cottage. It was immaculately clean when we arrived, and included everything we needed for our stay. The property is huge and allowed us easy access to the water for paddleboarding. The cottage itself is lovely and well furnished - light and bright and welcoming. The location is easy access to nearby hikes in East Sooke Park. And we appreciated that it is dog friendly. We would happily stay here again!

We are honoured to host our guests and local community on our Cottage haven and land, of the Scia'new and T'Sou-ke peoples. I am of mixed ancestry, with my husband (and co-host) and our 3 children whom are Métis and Cree, and we hope to continue our magical relationship with the land, ocean, and community for a healing and sacred place for all.
