About this property

The Long Table House | Waterfront | Beach Access | Pool | Firepit

Designed for families with older children

The Long Table House is set up for families travelling with tweens, teenagers and young adults who want space, independence and plenty to do.

Head straight out the back gate to the beach and foreshore hiking trail. Take out the stand-up paddleboards or kayaks, go fishing with the supplied fishing gear, play beach cricket or explore the rock pools.

Back at the house, older kids can spread out between two living areas with streaming TVs, play the piano, play card games and do puzzles, shoot hoops on the quarter basketball court, bounce on the oversized trampoline, or spend all day in the pool.

The custom bunk room has four king-single beds, with a twin bedroom and bathroom next door. It’s just enough separation from the adults upstairs in the king and queen bedrooms.

Then everyone comes back together around the 12-seat long table, or at the BBQ overlooking the water, or on the oversized deck, or around the large sheltered firepit.

It’s a holiday house where older kids don’t have to be entertained — they have the freedom, space and equipment to entertain themselves.

The house was beautiful and Kylie went above and beyond during our stay. We had an amazing time in such a beautiful spot, kids loved the pool and the close access to the beach. We will most definitely be back!

We had a beautiful stay. This house had everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable time. It was clean, tidy and cosy. The host was very reliable with communication and very accomodating. We will be back again for sure.

Everything was great. The house had everything we needed and was in a great location with a beautiful view. The pool was the highlight even with mild weather we got plenty of use of the pool as it is heated.

Amazing place and awesome host! Truly one of the best properties and hosts I've experienced. Everything we needed was there - the place was super equipped with heaps of amenities. Host was super welcoming and always ready to help out. Loads of stuff for the kids and adults to do while we were there, so it was perfect for spending time as a family without having to leave the property.

The pool is clean with heater system. The kids enjoyed a lot. Moreover, the facilities was good, suitable for big family. The location is near the beach but quite far from the city. In conclusion, I would recommend this place for big family.

The house is amazing has so many useful amenities and toys for the kids along with plenty of equipment to use at the beach. The pool was a standout, so clean, warm and a great size. The fire pit was a nice way to finish the day with all you need provided. Kylie was a great host and very responsive. Kids bunk room is perfect for a family holiday. We can’t wait to stay again!

The host was incredibly thoughtful and genuinely hoped our stay was pleasurable.The location was serene and the views were magical.The whole time we were there, my family were planning our next stay in South Arm.Not sure if it is mentioned in the description, but there are several flights of stairs both inside and out I feel worth mentioning for anybody unsure of foot.Not a criticism just a note.

Why they chose this property

We chose this home for the warm orientation, the view, the pool, direct access to the beach, and the sweet of community it’s in.

South Arm has a quiet, coastal feel that’s becoming harder to find — safe beaches, friendly locals, and a slower pace that makes it easy to switch off.

In summer, the community comes alive with local markets on the first Sunday of each month, while in winter we enjoy playing tennis, golf, walking the foreshore trails, barbecuing and having competitions on the big trampoline.

What makes this property unique

It’s always clean, full of amenities, has lovely beds, has a beautiful feel, incredible views and most importantly- has LOTS of things to do together.

It naturally brings people together — while still giving everyone space.

Outside we spend the days enjoying the kayaks and stand up paddle boards, playing beach cricket, exploring rock pools, fishing, walking the famous foreshore trail, playing basketball, playing on the oversized trampoline, or swimming in the pool (October to March).

Inside there’s a piano, two lounge rooms with tvs, children’s Lego, board games, card games, baking supplies and a long table to fit everyone around.

The long table makes meals fun and easy. We cook in the kitchen and barbecue, then share family style along the table, or outside on the deck.

Evenings are spent around the firepit, toasting marshmallows, sharing stories, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

It’s a place to make great memories.
