About this property

Casa Piccolo - Peninsula Hot Springs 5 mins away

Summary:

Set in a peaceful Rye location, this spacious coastal house offers relaxed living with generous indoor and outdoor areas. Enjoy comfortable furnishings, an outdoor firepit for cooler evenings, and a private deck with BBQ for alfresco dining. With convenient onsite key access and parking, it’s an ideal base for beach holidays and Peninsula escapes.

The Space:

Welcome to Casa Piccolo! Your perfect Mornington Peninsula base located 5-minute drive from the Peninsula Hot Springs, 11mins away from Sorrento Beach and only 4min drive from Rye Pier.

Casa Piccolo is a light-filled coastal home in Rye, built for the kind of weekend where you want to do very little, very well. It sits five minutes from both Peninsula Hot Springs and Alba Thermal Springs, which means you can be soaking in geothermal water within ten minutes of dropping your bags, then back home in a robe before your hair has dried. In our view, that is the entire point of the Peninsula in winter.

Inside, the house is warm, unhurried and intentionally styled. Timber floors, central heating throughout so nobody draws the short straw on the chilly room, and linen curtains in every bedroom. The living area opens around a six-seater lounge and a dining table that comfortably fits six, with a well-equipped kitchen behind it for the nights you'd rather cook in than drive back out. Three bedrooms (two queens, two singles) sleep six, and the bathroom and laundry are set up for longer stays, not just overnights.

Outside is where the house really earns its keep (even in winter). A private deck wraps the right-hand side of the home, with an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand after a beach day, proper outdoor firepit, full outdoor dining setting, and a gas BBQ, all surrounded by landscaped coastal garden. Pour a glass of something from Red Hill, light the fire, and the cold becomes the point rather than the problem. In summer, the same deck flips effortlessly into long lunches and lazy afternoons.
