Scorching Bay’s Original Homestead
Step back in time in Scorching Bay’s original homestead, built in the late 1800s. Once home to Captain Frederick Silver and later the seaside studio of cartoonist Burton Silver, creator of Bogor.
Rented by Sir Peter Jackson during The Lord of the Rings to house cast and crew, the villa features generous living spaces and a commercial-grade artisanal kitchen, custom-fitted by the LOTR production team.
The main villa + optional cabins provide ocean views, generous living spaces, flexible sleeping arrangements, a wood burner and a commercial-grade artisanal kitchen, custom-fitted by the Lord of the Rings production team.
* The ocean is on your doorstep. Bring Togs.
* 50 metres from Scorchorama cafe and Scorching Bay beach.

* Comfortably sleeps 6 adults in the main house, and up to 12 if you chose to add on the three charming cabins connected by a lit path winding its way up under the Karaka trees.
