Cabin was comfortable, clean and extremely easy to get into town if needed. The response from host was fast and accurate. Highly recommend this location!
Location was important to our stay and this "off the beaten path" cabin gave us accessibility to Waco and to our kids. We enjoyed the quiet, country setting--just like home. And, we had everything we needed, and then some!
Really enjoyed our stay! True Texas country experience. Kelli is very responsive and keeps the cabins very clean. Beautiful country views. Kelli has friendly donkeys.
We really enjoyed our cabin stay with the peace and serenity that came with it. We really enjoyed the donkeys and the fire flies that came out at night. It was very relaxing and pleasant!
The property is in the country side..so there is no city noise keeping you awake at night. The process for checking in was so simple and the accommodations were cozy. A nice porch to watch the sun rise in the morning, as well.
I loved it, it was super cute and cozy and I loved the donkeys

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
Disliked: Communication, location
The cabin was what I expected for a place to stay while working at the local hospital for 22 days. The communication with the host was overboard and I felt like I was being watched. When I would park to unload groceries or bags I would immediately get an email to not park in that location. It happened 4 times and I asked the host to call me and the said they preferred to communicate via email to capture all communication. Kind of a red flag for me. There were signs everywhere with don’t use this, don’t pick flowers ect. It was a little overboard for me. Cabin was fine for someone needing a place to crash on a budget but not a vacation destination for sure.

Response from VrboOwner on 10 Jan 2026
Guest stayed For 22 nights. Guest brought a large trailer (that he assumed was ok To take up additional parking spaces, and On only 2 instances, he was NotiFied that hiS truck that was hooked up to thr trailer, was blocking the parking lot AND driveway, as well as taking up over half of the pArking spaces). GuEst was asked to consilidate down to two parking spaces and NOT block drive so pthet guests could Enter and exit.
Guest was also informeD when we were alerteD By our exterior camera(S) of a possible wild dangerous animal(S). NeW camera was placed In a lower position whetr animal was Spotted, to capture a clear pIctUre of the wild animal, to dettermine what soze wide game trap we could use and also to the legality of trappIng and relocating this animal. A clear picture was needed. Our cameras aRe exterior and monIToR the property, to KEEP ALL GUESTS SAFE and Notified During these sightingS.
Guest was inaccurate and NOT Truthful in his low review. If he wasnt happy heRe, or comfortable, then WHY stay for 22 nights!!!! He could haVe notified VRBO of this on day 1 and we would haVe Gladly Listened to any concern he haD.
The only thing he stated he was unhappy with me the hosT about, was when we messagef him to consolidate his parkIng from blocking tHe deiveway and parKing lot, that hosT would not call hIm, sInce he was driving. Host clearly stated that hosT Comminicates thRough the vrbo message thread, for clear concise messages (do nothing is misstated). Guest Could have left the propeRty if he was Unhappy, but he stayed and enjoyed it for 22 nights. He had a very clean, fully equipped tiny home with a nearly neW comfy king size bed, all the comfort of HomE in tiny square footaGe. WE
Offered him discounteD rates through the holidays.
We recEive 5 star reviews fRom our guests who are truthful anf enjOy their stay, whether it be 1 night or 30 nights.

We feel this guest sHoulD appreciate we gAve him safe parking for his large truck anD trailer, (He woudlnt have received that in City where he was working, and this is probably why he chose to stay here, or possibly for our fabulous lower rates) as well as Many cOmforts he woulD haVe had at home, while om his extended work stay.
Next time, please be honest in yoUr revieW.

About the host
Hosted by Kelli B
We maintain this retreat "for your enjoyment" We are country, and escaped the city long ago, as we enjoy the peace and solitude of being away from it all. We have lived our dream in the islands and sailed half way around the world, while exploring unique lodging options in beautiful places. Our favorite was our own stateroom on the sailboat, as it was tiny, equipped and had everything we needed for the journey... we offer that to you here.
My native name is Blue Eagle, from my Cherokee heritage (from the Trail of Tears), and on maternal side a Daughter of the Republic of Texas and ancestors dating back to Stephen F. Austin’s “Old 300 Colony”. Very proud 6th generation Native Texan.
Less is more, explore my adorable design and craftsmanship in each cabin. Each cabin is decorated and furnished a little different. San Jacinto, Alamo, Goliad and Lone Star Cabins...
Why they chose this property
Peaceful, private cabin on acreage. Escape the hustle and bustle of the city. We offer fully equipped, furnished with all linens your escape for the weekend, week or month. Just bring food and drinks and enjoy your private get away.....
What makes this property unique

Enjoy a private evening in the bubbling hot tub in fully enclosed privacy fence (you place the occupied sign on the gate). Celebrate your special event here. Pets must be approved prior to booking . Exceptional star gazing from hot tub at night.... or early in morning to watch sunrise. Peace, Peace, Peace.
