We found the Bayside Barn to be a wonderful place to stay at BoothBay Harbor. It is very a convenient 5 minute walk to restaurants, shops, the Footbridge across the bay and entertainment. It is well appointed with everything we needed and we would definitely stay there again.

A wonderful place to stay
We found the Bayside Barn to be a wonderful place to stay at Boothbay Harbor. It's location is perfect for walking to the downtown area for dining, shopping and entertainment. We would definitely stay there again. While the slanted ceilings were a bit challenging, we quickly got used to them. The Barn is well appointed for everything we need.

Quaint and cozy
Lovely little spot, with a wide open kitchen and living room and pleasant sleeping areas.
The barn was super cute - it was hotter and more humid than expected and the barn kept us cool! Location was central to everything - we walked to all our new BBH faves. We loved our stay.
This converted horse barn is a charming, cozy place to stay that's close to places to eat, shopping, and the Botanical Gardens in Boothbay Harbor. It's was easy to get to, very clean, very comfortable, very quiet! We stayed for 3 nights and would certainly recommend this property for parties of 2, or a couple with 1 kiddo. We really enjoyed our stay and would rebook if in the area again.
beautifulproperty, with all the amentities packed into the a humble abode by the water!

Beautiful, cozy space - great location!!
My mom and I stayed at the Barn for four night in August on a mother/daughter vacation. We loved the place!! It’s super cozy and felt like a real home. The location is great for walking into town. We stayed in one night and cooked local seafood on the grill and told stories over wine in the living room. Ceilings going up the stairs are a little low but once you figure it out, it’s easy to navigate, even for my 75 year old mom!
This property is adorable. Very clean. We greatly appreciated that it was orepared for every little thing we would need, right down to a little sewing kit. So very close to everything!
The cottage was clean and cute. The location was convenient to town but not special. Our only misgiving was difficulty with the entry codes and lock box although the support team remained dedicated to troubleshooting and we ultimately prevailed. I would recommend the property for a short stay by a small group.

A lovely place to stay for a few days
The Bayside Barn was a good choice for the three of us. It was simple and unpretentious, and was within our budget. We would suggest a few more items in the kitchen, such as a longer knife for cutting food, and a few wine glasses. Otherwise, we had everything we needed.
House was perfect for the 3 of us. Stairs to second floor are narrow and tight for my 6 foot tall hubby. He hit his head a few times. There were a few cobwebs around on the stairs. Sheets, towels and beds were great.

We will continue to work with both our local staff and homeowner to make improvements to this home, and we hope you'll give us a second chance to impress you!
The entire trip was overshadowed by the outrageous management fee charged by vrbo on top of Vacasa's fee...1000 between the 2 for a 1700 booking. The property itself and location were good and close to town, although there was no view of the harbor. The little house is clean and comfortable. The chairs out back are very nice for sitting during the day, but too many mosquitoes to sit out back in evening. It was quiet sitting out front using our camp chairs. Vacassa was quick to come out to fix an AC problem.

Great Getaway!
The Barn was everything promised. It was cozy, exceptionally clean, comfortable, and perfect for a few days away. The location was within a few restaurants or a quick ride down-town. If you're a walker, you will love this area. The Barn was very comfortable for me, soloing. It provide privacy and quiet when needed and all the amenities you need for cooking, grilling and the like. I would do this again in a heartbeat and this trip and location of the Barn is definitely on repeat for me!
This stable turned boho-chic home was a perfect size and location. My husband and I walked everywhere besides when we drove a few hours to Acadia National Park. My only complaint is that the check-out instructions were not given to us until about an hour before our check-out time. Other than that everything was fabulous!
100%-accurate-to listing, darling, perfectly appointed jewel box. Everything we needed for creating yummy meals, incredibly comfy beds and furniture for naps, reading and movies. Splits/tv remotes were very easy to operate which was a surprise - usually very frustrating. Walking distance to the lovely center of town, also a great base for long, wandering walks thru quaint Boothbay Harbor neighborhoods, minutes from the footbridge into town. Was so happy to arrive, bummed to have to leave.

Charming cottage
Loved this little house. Comfy bed,, well decorated with a simple kitchen that’s very functional and easy to use. It’s a great location to enjoy the Harbor.
My issue was with the lack of support from Vacasa when I was unable to unlock the keypad door. It was pouring rain and late and it wasn’t until my 3rd call to customer support when I was given an option to get me in. We pay outrageous additional fees to stay at any VRBO/Vacasa properties and yet customer services seem low priority. I’m moving away from VRBO rentals and going to renting thru smaller vendors. It is more affordable with a local owner or person to help.

Reviewer Comments:
Great proximity to Boothbay Harbor via a quick walk across the footbridge. Only a block away we had a great breakfast at Mama D's and the new Ports Pizzaria was excellent. There are some cool artist colony homes located up the hill on Campbell St. and Summit Rd. The 3 mini splits easily keep the individual rooms comfortable. Suggestion for owner: the "watch your head sign" should be on the top most stair riser so you notice it before hitting your head. The farmers style kitchen was well appointed. The back yard was well organized but we didn't use it because it was a little soggy from all the rain.

You were perfect guests, and we appreciate you taking care of our place as if it were your own. Please come back and visit us again any time.
Very cute lodgings - the house had everything you would need. The washing machine and dryer was on the first floor. It was like staying in a converted small barn with old fashioned sinks and overall layout was clean. However, there were a couple of things to watch out for. We arrived at night and everything was pitch dark and even tho we had 3 GPS’s on us (2 phones and 1 in car) it took walking up Park St. to find the house. This was addressed with the property manager and they said they would resolve this by leaving some lights on. Also, we were 2 seniors (68 & 70). The walk to the house was up a short hill with uneven pavers then another 3 steps to the door. Inside the only bathroom was upstairs so plan your steps accordingly! 😄

Great location and comfortable spot
Great spot in the Booth Bay harbor neighborhood. Short walks to the outstanding local lobster wharf, the walkway to town, and Mama’s for breakfast. Clean and comfortable with an upstairs queen bedroom, a very small single bedroom. Bathroom is also upstairs. Great place for an active couple.
