Very comfortable stay. Came to see Acadia for our 45th Anniversary and could not have been more blessed than we were here. You had every utensil and accessory for cooking and the loveliest view every morning! And great beds! Again, thank you, we hope to be able to return.

The best thing about this property was the location - that is, if you are looking for a quiet place to get a local feel. The neighborhood was great for walking and the neighbors were very friendly. The town boat launch is about 1/4 mile down the road and you can walk out on the floating dock. This is a great nearby location to launch a kayak or paddle board. Be sure to bring food with you, as there were no walking-distance restaurants. We packed breakfast foods and snacks, and really enjoyed having our coffee and breakfast on the waterfront deck. Acadia and Bar Harbor are approximately a 45 minute drive. There were many highly rated restaurants between this home and Bar Harbor, but our favorite was Sweet Pea's Farm Kitchen for atmosphere and food. The only reasons for not rating this a 5:A minor trash situation that the owner promptly addressed. And the toilet in the en-suite bathroom was temperamental. We didn't report this 2nd issue during our stay because we just wanted to be on vacation without people coming in and out of the property.

The house is clean, spacious and has most everything you might need. We did have an issue where we couldn't dispose of household trash for 2 weeks of our 4 week stay because the stickers required by the municipality weren't provided by the host. However, the host did arrange to pick up some of the trash and eventually brought us tags to use. The host was responsive and easy to communicate with. The kitchen could use an update, it has very low countertops so you have to bend over during food preparation and one stove burner (back left) was broken. We also wound up not using the dishwasher at all as it is one that is not built in and I guess you have to wheel it over to the sink and connect hoses and who knows what all, so we opted for paper plates and handwashing. That said, we had a wonderful time, we enjoyed the beautiful view and spent time sailing, biking, hiking and taking long walks. Perfection. We would definitely stay there again (but hope to have our own place next summer).

This property was perfect for us. It was an opportunity for four adults to relax, cook together, be together, and take long walks. Lovely getaway
