This makes the perfect Base Camp for walkers and car users. Close to public transportation and the Beach (short 10 min walk) The charm of the Cottage and the amenities will enhance your visit. We are close to downtown Kapaa (5 min. walk).
To our New Guests and our repeating Guests, we are constantly upgrading the accommodations at Ohia Kai Vacation Rentals. In our units you will find new bathrooms, Kitchen (in the Hale), new flooring, new draperies, and fresh paint.

Enjoyed the stay at this centrally located cottage unit. Owners were very responsive and helped out a minor issue within the unit. The unit had many nice features to make the stay more comfortable. Would recommend this unit for future stays.

I enjoyed Kauai tremendously and the location and price for this cottage was wonderful. We slept on your bed outstandingly well. It would have been a plus to have a sink in the kitchen. The owners were very friendly and responsive. Thank you for letting us stay in your cottage.

In Town Cottage

Clean and tidy unit within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Little surprised that the windows did not all lock for security at night. We improvised and made it work. Would stay again if the window situation gets fixed.

Winter Break

Really enjoyed the owners, Jim and Diane. I rented the cottage for a winter break and as a place where I could practice some new music without disturbing others. Mission accomplished. The cottage was clean and well kept. I would have preferred some sort of stove arrangement for cooking, but managed to get by quite well for all that. Thank you folks for your warm welcome and hospitality.

Perfect homebase for adventuring in Kauai with the warmest hosts

James & Julie were the kindest and warmest hosts, making sure our stay was comfortable. The self check-in was super convenient, especially because we landed late at night. The cottage was clean and cozy, had all the right amenities (the AC was necessary in the heat), and was located very conveniently in the heart of Kapa'a with easy walking access to the shops, restaurants, and beach near by. The internet was fine for streaming a movie, although it might be a bit slow for video calls for working remotely. Overall, we had a wonderful stay, and can't wait to go back during our next time in Kauai!

This was a great place! Located close to shopping, food and the beach. Also great access to the Kauai Bike Path along the ocean. The owners were very responsive and great with communication. They even worked with me on my checkout time as I had a late flight out. Overall a great experience!
