About this property

Updated lake house on beautiful Bear Creek!

Welcome to our little bit of heaven on Bear Creek near Pickwick Dam on the Tennessee River! Whether you looking for a quiet spot to relax with a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise or days filled from sunrise to sunset with boating adventures, our beautiful lake house is ready for you!

In August 2021, we bought Bear Lake Place, and we have been lovingly updating it and getting it ready to share with you since then. You will love our fully stocked kitchen with comforts of home such as a Keurig, Nespresso, and air fryer. The adjoining breakfast room has comfortable seating for 6 as well as 6 bar stools to accommodate those wishing to sit at the granite bar instead. Our two beautiful living areas both boast full walls of windows overlooking the water and are perfect spots for curling up with a good book or binging on Netflix. Another favorite spot will be our screened porch, which is best for sharing a meal or rocking in our teak chairs while enjoying the cool evening breeze.

We currently have 3 main bedrooms and 2.5 baths. There is a master bedroom on the first floor with a king bed and a full en suite bath. Upstairs, you'll find one bedroom with two queen beds and another bedroom with a king. These two bedrooms share a full bath upstairs. Though not included in the "official" number of bedrooms, we do have another room (only accessed through the upstairs bathroom) with 4 twin beds. It is a perfect spot for kids! Downstairs, just off the kitchen, you'll find the half bath.

We do have a boat dock that can accommodate several boats for tie down. Eastport Marina is just a short boat or car ride away for those looking to rent a pontoon while visiting! If you do venture out on the water, you can fill up your gas tank at the Mill Creek Marina or your tummy with ice cream from their Bait shop! You may swim at your own risk off our dock. There is no public boat ramp from our neighborhood. The boat ramp is for owners only and is not allowed to be used by guests/renters. If you have a boat to launch, the closest public boat ramp is Mill Creek Marina.

Our home is located just 5 minutes outside the small Mississippi town of Iuka, where you will find conveniences such as a small Walmart, a Piggly Wiggly, and a wonderful locally owned grocery store, Brooks.

Our house can comfortably accommodate 8 adults. This home has been loved by one family since it was built, and it has not been rented before. If you are looking for a party house... this is not it. If you are looking for a quiet retreat for your family, we would love to have you. There is absolutely no smoking in the home, and there is parking for no more than four vehicles. The maximum number of adults is 8. You will be asked to leave with excessive noise or gross violations of occupancy rules.

A wonderful Gem

This house in a quiet neighborhood was the perfect stop for myself, two adult children, their spouses and toddler grandchild. Plenty of room! We spent a ton of time on the deck overlooking the lake and the screened in porch. We fished, swam and floated everyday and brought a kayak to use. 10/10!

Perfect Lake House

This house has everything you need for a lake getaway. Beautiful views out of the many windows facing the lake or from the screened in and open porch. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and have their own space. We stayed with 3 families, all with teenage kids. The dock is perfect for swimming and bringing your boat. Host was extremely responsive and accommodating. We couldn’t have been happier.

The home was exactly as described. The WiFi was fast, the process for check in/out was very smooth, the home was perfectly clean, and everything was functioning well! Hidden Gem

The owner was so easy to work with. The house had stunning views. We practically had the lake to ourselves on weekdays. The neighborhood was very quiet. There were plenty of towels. There were even 6 small fans upstairs. I love to sleep with the noise of a fan. My elderly mother-in-law was able to use the bedroom and all the decks on the main floor. She sat outside and watched us play on the lake. Every kind of coffee machine you can think of was there;) The AC worked really well (important in the South). Can’t say enough good things about this rental.

This property has everything you need for a fantastic time. It’s so well appointed…just perfection. Plenty of room for our family to spend time together between wedding activities. Caught a few catfish off the dock and the grandkids LOVED the beach/rocks. AND the fire pit was an added bonus! This is the first property I’ve ever been to that I didn’t have to bring everything…even basic essentials…nope, it was covered. The beds were so comfortable so everyone slept very well. There is nothing negative to say about this property. We had a wonderful time!!

The lake house is perfect!

Our family enjoyed the lake house! The view of the lake is amazing. The location is close to Mill Creek marina for gas, ice, snacks! The house is very clean and beautifully decorated. We will be renting it again soon!!
