Chattooga Lakefront Cabin w/ Hot Tub + Pvt. Dock!

If you are looking for fresh air, mountain streams, fresh well water, a respite, and some stress-free living, you have found it! Romantic get-a-way, girl's retreat, guys fishing trip, you name it! This is a one-story home in a private, gated community with a private dock. This cabin is on pristine lake water fed by 5 streams. 2 kayaks, 2 canoes, and 2 paddleboards are available. Plenty of fishing for wide-mouth bass! Fireplace in the main living area and central air and heat throughout the home. Two full bathrooms; one with a soaking tub. Spa just outside the master bedroom on the deck overlooking the lake. Fully equipped kitchen. Firepit area with seating for 4. Table seating area for 4 and rocking chairs on wrap-around, screened sundeck overlooking the lake. Large dining table for 8 inside the home. Our home has recently been updated with new rugs, linens, furniture, paint, and decor. The property is OWNER managed and has been a popular and desirable rental for 6 years! It is freshly sanitized and ready for your arrival!

All, and includes the use of 2 kayaks, 2 canoes, 2 paddleboards, life jackets, and spa/jacuzzi. Private gate to community accessible with key card. Jon boat by request.

AT & T Wi fi, and Roku. Phone service is very good if you CONNECT your phone to WIFI for service.
Wildlife includes ducks, geese deer, and large turtles.
Fabulous home-cooking restaurant 10 minutes. Fly fishing shop 10 minutes.
The "Mall" (Dollar General) 10 minutes.
Non-Refundable Pet Fee of $100 and pets must be pre-approved by the owner. Pet Fee is collected when you receive check-in information (2 days prior to arrival).

My mother and I along with our two dogs stayed three nights in this beautiful lake cabin. The kitchen has very nice cookware and dishes to use. The view of the lake was absolutely breathtaking, especially with the fall foliage. The neighborhood was very peaceful and we enjoyed our time very much. We visited the state park Oconee and did a short hike as well as went into town, called Walhalla and did some shopping and had great cheesesteaks.

Annual lake vacation!

Perfect lake cabin! Exactly how it was described. So relaxing and accompanying. Love the cabin, the lake and the area. The host was very attentive and answered any questions quickly. The claw foot tub was a plus! Looking forward to a visit in the Fall!

Perfect fall getaway

Loved this cabin- was perfect for me and my family for a long weekend. My family loved all the water toys and spend most of our time on the lake. Our pups loved the property too. It is situated perfectly- far enough off grid to really get away but close enough to state parks and other amenities. Would definitely recommend and would like to visit again in the summer!

Chattooga Lakefront Cabin

We had a very enjoyable stay at the cabin. Check-in was a breeze, and it was ready for us when we arrived. The kids loved the lake, the dock, and the paddle boards. Everything was clean and comfortable. The views out of the deck were beautiful and relaxing. We would definitely recommend staying at this cabin.

Wonderful place wonderful host.

Some friends and I took a few night off of backpacking and stayed at this house. It was wonderful, we used the kayaks and Jon Boat and fished to our hearts content. The cabin is classic and comfortable. Would 100% stay again. The host was incredibly hospitable and accommodating.

Awesome location!! Really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the lake

Cabin was perfect and the location as well. Spent a lot of time hanging on the dock..so quiet and peaceful. Explored the lake with the kayak’s and did a little fishing.. no luck but was fun trying!!. Hiked to some beautiful waterfalls and even took in a zip line adventure. Lots to do in the area would love to come back again!!

Mountain rest is right!!

What a beautiful lake house! The surrounding foothills, lake, and forest are serene! If you're looking for a "getaway" that's still a fully functioning modern home, this place is for you! Cabin enough to feel rustic, modern enough to be very comfortable!

A wonderful time, a wonderful cabin!

Had a great time! Stunning views, a warm and inviting cabin and lots of quiet time. It was nice to have quiet time or a little noise (in the form of cable tv and internet, when we wanted it). The best of both worlds. Would definitely come back again.

Fishing Bday Party

For my 13 yo son’s bday, he wanted to take 2 friends and stay near his favorite fishing spot in Clayton, GA. The boys had a blast and loved Lake Chatooga too!

Perfect Lake Vacation

We had a wonderful week at this property! JoAnn was so helpful ,from answering all of my questions leading up to our stay to reaching out while we were there to make sure everything was going well. The house was a perfect lakeside cabin with a wonderful screened in porch and fire pit. We enjoyed the hot tub at night and the dock and the lake during the day. As a bonus, there was an amazing fire works show on July 4th right there from thr lake! We would love to go back and enjoy another stay!

cozy home on peaceful lake

We had a wonderful stay. This is a beautiful, small lake. The house has a lot of privacy, with a screen porch and dock overlooking the lake. We used the canoes, went fishing, enjoyed morning runs on the dirt roads around the lake, and had a wonderful visit overall. The kitchen is small but well stocked. The house was immaculately clean. We look forward to going back.

Little Piece of Mountain Lake Paradise!

All I can say is, I'm so thankful we found this little mountain paradise! It's beautiful and rustic and everything we hoped it would be! It's clean and fresh and comfortable. It has everything you need for a great vacay! We played on the lake(our daughter learned to paddleboard!). We rested and cooked wonderful meals in the cabin. The wifi was super! We soaked in the hot tub, and just sat on the porch enjoying the natural beauty of the lake and mountains. We seriously can not wait to go back already!

Loved this house. The view is amazing. The kayaks were fun. The hot tub was perfect after we spent the day hiking and white water rafting. Only problem was the master bathroom water pressure when you take a shower. Otherwise it was great!

Terrific!

What a great spot, definitely exceeded our expectations. Cabin was clean, cozy and well equipped. Monique was wonderful to work with, hot tub was winterized but she did not hesitate to refill it and make it available to us. Close to tons of amazing trails and beautiful waterfalls for hiking (we were spoilt for choice) and a short ride to quaint little towns (Highlands and Cashiers) for shopping and strolling down the streets. Felt like home away from home.

Great little getaway

A week with family at this cute little cabin. Lots of fun kayaking and finding new places to hike and waterfalls to see. Not much to do in the little town but we had plenty to do at the cabin. It rained most of our stay but none of us cared. Sitting on the lake view porch was great for coffee and cocktails. Really nice fire pit and indoor gas fire place. Cooked on the grill most every night. Super comfy beds and living space. Went to Helen and to Bryson to white water raft. The property manager was amazing. Responsive and so easy to communicate with. Had a wonderful family get together and this quaint little cabin did everything we needed it to do.

Lake property

Beautiful location. House very clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Very quiet. Kayaks were great (one of the 3 had a leak). Had some trouble with the DTV. Never could get it to work. Hot tub wasn't working the first day, but did get that taken care of. Property manager responsive to problems encountered, but communication is spotty up there. Water pressure in the house is not great so you can't really have 2 water outlets going at the same time. Dog friendly with extra fee. Lots of things to do in the area such as hiking, biking and picnicking. Seeing the Stumphouse Tunnel and Issaqueenah Falls is a must and very close to property. Very relaxing stay.

One of our favorite stays. VERY quiet close to many small towns well worth exploring (Walhalla, Highlands, NC, Cashiers NC). Wish we had stayed longer. Communications with property manager were great, responses very prompt. Gave us great ideas for places we had not thought about for food shopping, etc. peaceful relaxing stay for our anniversary. Well stocked with everything needed. We brought perishables, of course, but also enjoyed local restaurants (recommend reaching out to property manager for her EXCELLENT suggestions)

This is a very sweet spot. We had a great time, even though it rained most of the time we were there. We had the opportunity to use the canoe a few times even with the rain, and we also enjoyed the fire pit one night. We would definitely book again!

We had an amazing stay in Mountain Rest. I lived in the community and worked on the river as a guide for 8 years. I am down here often, but wanted a nice place to put our family for a long weekend. This cabin was perfect! We swam in the lake, made s’mores by the fire, paddled the sup boards around and had some great conversation on the screened in porch. I would definitely recommend this cabin!
