Featuring two cozy living areas, eand two fully equipped kitchens, Mae's Haven caters to comfort and convenience. The expansive dining room table is perfect for family meals, making this one of the few homes at Lake Junaluska with such generous seating.

Relax on the beautiful screened-in wood deck with rocking chairs overlooking Lake Junaluska, or enjoy the open deck  for sunbathing or evening gatherings.
Mae's Haven is ideally located close to all the amenities Lake Junaluska has to offer, including walking trails, an outdoor swimming pool, boating, shuffleboard, tennis, and mini-golf. It’s just 10 minutes from Waynesville and near Maggie Valley, Cherokee, and Asheville, making it a perfect base for exploring the region.

Pet Policy: Mae's Haven welcomes well-behaved dogs under 75 lbs, with conditions for their stay to ensure the comfort and cleanliness of the home. Dogs must be crated when left alone, are not allowed on beds or furniture, and must not scratch the flooring. A non-refundable pet fee of $150 is required prior to arrival. Approval is needed for more than one dog, with an additional fee applicable. Failure to comply with these rules, including bringing a pet without prior approval, will result in a $500 penalty per unauthorized pet and the possibility of being asked to leave immediately.

Stay at Mae’s Haven

Overall it was a very positive experience. Plenty of linens and cookware. The space was large and accommodated the 10 of us well. The 2 negatives would be the AC couldn’t keep the place cool during the day and only 1 bathroom with each set of 2 bedrooms otherwise you hade to go upstairs in the common area to shower

Amazing screened porch

We have rented 3 different houses at Lake Junaluska. This one has been our favorite, mostly because of the huge front porch with the beautiful view. The house is close to the rec center so nice for our grandkids to walk to the activities, but it is up on the hill removed from all the traffic and we could not see any other houses from the porch. They have plenty of seating on the porch and two large tables so we played games and ate most of our meals there.The only thing that was unclear from the listing is that this house is a duplex. There are two large living spaces with two kitchens and the main floor is open between the two. The bedroom areas are separated with 3 accessible from one side and the other 3 bedrooms accessible separately. It did not matter for our group, but others might want to be able to access the other bedrooms without having to walk through the upper level.The kitchen was well stocked and the beds and linens were great. The house was more expensive than others we have rented, but with 2 families sharing the cost, it is perfect.
