USAFA Parents weekend family house

Nice house in convenient location - both to USAF and downtown Colorado Springs. Older house with sufficient amenities, bathroom/shower supplies and space for entire family of 4 adults. Unique layout in a good way. Comfortable going for long walks in early morning in the neighborhood - walk to cute coffee shop. Washer and dryer in cellar, newer units. There is apartment above part of the house - the tenant was a very nice person and we did really notice she was upstairs. Had one small issue with AC, but called and it was resolved immediately. Nice stay.

Updated old house - cute, but needs some functional updates

This was completely adequate for our July stay with our adult children. It’s cute & looks clean. Our biggest complaint was the mattress/bedframe in the master is horrible! When one of us moved, the other would roll to the center of the bed. All. Night. Long. TO NOTE: 2 of the bedrooms are actually 1 bedroom with a partial wall, not 2 separate bedrooms (you kind of have to zoom in on the photos to figure that out). The master bedroom and the "2" rooms just mentioned have cute window pane glass in outside doors, so there is no privacy from living areas. Bunkbed mattresses were reported as “fine”. The other mattresses were reported as "good". Bathrooms were nice. Water pressure fine. It's normal that the kitchen has only the bare basics, but 2 of the 3 frying pans were unusable because they were peeling so badly. Serious musty smell comes from dishes pantry. You can't wear shoes inside, but there is a nice mudroom for shoes at the back door where you can park easily. But someone must enter through front door and let you in at the back. That was bad because the front porch lights weren’t working; fixed later. Central a/c can’t be set below 70, but it does not keep up on hot days; 3 of the bedrooms are cooled by window units, which cooled fine. Several big fans are provided to help, but master was hot on the hot days. Note if you have mobility issues: washer/dryer is in the basement. Cute place-needs some functional improvements & good look-over between renters.
