Perfect getaway in the heart of Davis. Our home is a lovely 4 bedroom 4 bath private residence in Davis,WV. Only moments from hiking,biking, shopping and eateries. We offer a lovely deck and back yard with a fire pit.
The space
Our home is perfect for large groups and/or families. We have a pack and play if a smaller child would be traveling with you.
Guest access
Guests have private access to the entire home and back yard. This is also a home for family getaways, so there is a private owners closet in the upstairs hall, as well as supplies stored throughout the residence.
Other things to note
We welcome you to enjoy this mountain getaway just as our family does! It is intended to be a place where families gather to enjoy the wild and wonderful West Virginia outdoors, and the quaint mountain towns of Davis & Thomas. It is not to be used for parties and may not be booked by persons under 21.

A long family weekend

We were three generations of women (plus 2 spouses) and children enjoying a long winter weekend in Davis. The house is centrally located and if you don’t mind a walk, easy distance to downtown, restaurants and shopping. A heavy snow arrived Friday night after check in, around 8 fresh inches. A snow shovel and salt for use would be a nice addition or perhaps we overlooked it. The pipes froze in the downstairs bathroom/washer dryer area due to outside temps but there were 4 other bathrooms to use so no inconvenience there. The house has an amazing collection of old furniture and antique furnishings. It was so cozy and quaint. Very warm and welcoming. Well appointed kitchen and a gas cooktop which I really enjoyed! Common areas are spacious and furniture is comfy. There was one couch cushion that is well loved and could stand repair or replacing but it was kept covered with a blanket during our stay. We would love to visit again! Ps…I enjoyed the navy touches…my husband served on the USS Wisconsin. My son in law…graduated from West Point so we enjoyed picking on him a little extra about it being a naval house!

Annual sledding trip

We had a great time during our annual family sledding trip at Blackwater Falls. This was our second stay in this house, which is cozy and has everything you need! Thanks for hosting us!
