Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second annual trip to Island House Beach Resort over the holidays. We enjoy the resort’s amenities and great location! The grill area was so clean and organized. We used this twice and it worked great. The pool is heated which is great if you travel in the non summer months. The office was closed the week we were there due to COVID but I was able to knock on the door and still get service. A little tip- place an instacart order before you get there and once you get settled in your groceries will arrive and you’re all set for the week.

The villa unit we stayed in was clean, spacious and convenient. However we did have a few issues that would prevent us from staying in the future. Chairs: While I understand the need to lock the chairs, we were never told a time at which the chairs would be locked/unlocked and it appeared to us that these times were at the discretion of the person performing this job. Several mornings the chairs were locked until 9 a.m. or later. We were also not permitted to take the chairs beyond a certain point but then they would rent canopies and set them up right at the boundary line and obstruct the view and access to the water. WiFi: Terrible! Linens: They claim to supply enough for a weeks stay however, we were there 3 days and used all the clean towels & wash clothes and there were only 4 of us.

Thank you for your review. I am glad you enjoyed the unit. I would like to address your issues that you said you experienced while here at Island House. Chairs - From May 1st to November 1st it is turtle season here in Florida. All chairs must be removed from the beach at dusk and cannot be unlocked until dawn. If we violate those rules, we will be fined heavily. We have 2 stacks of chairs on "each" side of our property. My staff arrives at 7:00 a.m. everyday. Their first thing to do is to unlock the chairs. Based on our occupancy we unlock how many stacks we think are sufficient. In May we are very quiet and there is not a need to unlock all four stacks, especially during turtle season. Perhaps you were looking on the wrong side of the property? As for the canopies, there was 3 maybe 4 canopies on the beach during your stay. We are on the widest part of Siesta Beach, the beach is huge so there is not any way that they could have blocked your view or your access to the water. WiFi - what network were your trying to access is the question? We have over 15 access points on our property and the wifi is very good. Linens - you made your reservation online and put the # of guests as 2. In your review your are now saying you have 4. You were supplied with 8 bath towels, 8 hand towels, 8 washcloths, 2 bath mats, kitchen linens. That should have been plenty of towels for a 3 night stay even with 4 people. One other question is why did we not receive a call from you about any of these issues while you were our guests? Everything you have stated could have been corrected very easily and we would have been more than happy to help you out. We take pride in our service at Island House however if a guest does not let us know until they depart , there is really nothing we can do. It was well used with appliances a bit rusty looking, sweet ants on the counters, and pillows that were old and flat. The place is decorated nicely but as I said it needs someone to update a few items. The staff at Island House is very nice and easy to speak with about any problems. We will stay again but in the mid rise.

The Villa was super clean, we loved how close it was to the ocean, and my fiancé and i LOVED the master bathroom and big shower in our Villa.Island house is the perfect spot for groups to get together and be close together, but still have your own privacy within each villa. The beach is so close and gorgeous and well kept, and we loved how convenient the beach chairs were.

Small family reunion.

We had a small family reunion and brought Mom over during the days. The beach being right there was wonderful. We were able to rent a beach wheelchair for her to get down to the beach and see the water and sunsets. Location is perfect. Villa was very clean and nice and quiet at night. Really enjoyed our time there.
