We had a great time. It was a beautiful place. Quiet, clean and had everything we needed! We were in town to see my son at college for family weekend. My step-mom is in a wheelchair and this place was perfect for her. She was comfortable and we were able to have a great family weekend! Thanks so much and we will be back!

I see I didn’t respond. I am so sorry. We loved having you and would love to have you come back anytime. We appreciate the care you took of our place. Thank you!!!
It can be hard to find a place to stay in Henderson County, so this was a find for us. We were in town for a family event, not looking for entertainment.
The house is very clean and easily found. It is close to a main road between Canton and Athens.
The owner is very pleasant as well. Would be happy to return next time we visit there.

We absolutely fell in love with this cute little place! It’s located in a beautiful area, away from everything. Owner was super nice and friendly. She didn’t mind that we had company over for a little while. This place has all the essentials. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a quite relaxing time away from the rest of the world.

Thank you for staying with us! We’d love to have you come stay anytime!
We had about 8 people staying here for a trip to see the 2024 eclipse, and I'm so glad we chose this location! I had quite a few questions for Shirley ahead of the trip, and she responded quickly with very helpful information each time. The barndominium was clean and comfortable for all of us, the kitchen was stocked with almost everything we needed, and the location couldn't be beat! It was so nice to sit on the porch with coffee in the morning, and there was plenty of room for the 5-year old with us to run around and play. Overall, this was a great home away from home, and we will be back if we every find ourselves in this part of Texas again!

Autumn and her family were perfect guests and we would love to have them back again anytime. They left the home very clean. Very good with communication and even invited us to watch the eclipse with them. Sorry we couldn’t. 5/5 +++
Listing is accurate! No issues with house. Only problem we had was finding it at night. Do not trust your GPS. Watch mailboxes for numbers. You will arrive at the driveway before GPS says you have. Also you’ll be driving in a field house is to the left after a very small pond (that you can’t see at night) Place could use a sign or 2 but we found it and had a blast there. Would definitely rent again.

Thank you so much!! Come again anytime! You are great guests!!! I’ll work on the signs and directions to make it easier. Thank you!!!
Athens is the mid-way point between my two sisters and I, so my husband and I rented this beautiful Barndominium to host dinner and a birthday party. My husband and our two Littles (9 and 5) stayed and everything was perfect. The beds were very comfortable, kitchen fully stocked with cookware, huge comfy couch- lots of thought went into making the guests feel at home. My sisters came with their immediate families for dinner and their kiddos (9,14,17) found the place just as impressive. The big kids went on the trails and the younger ones played out front as we sat on the huge porch. When my sisters had to leave that evening their kiddos didn’t want to go. lol Nice get away from the hustle and bustle of Houston. Athens itself was a quick ten minute drive from the rental, so if anything was forgotten the store was just a short drive. Absolutely coming back.
