The whole group will enjoy easy access to everything from this centrally located place. Walk to Trout Run Trail, or connect to the 100's of trails in the Palisades, grab an Impact Coffee and do some shopping, all within a 10 minute walk. The space We purchased this 1890's brick home as a real fixer upper! We have 99% of the house complete from top to bottom, and you will see it is impeccably designed with beauty and function in mind. We love our industrial style kitchen, the layout, appliances and materials make this a great place to prepare any meal. The stairs and upstairs landing haven't gotten their facelift yet. But the spaces function and are decorated to feel more like the rest of the home. Guest access We have blocked access to half of the basement area where the guts of the home are. Should you have any issues please contact us and we will have it resolved! Other things to note **We do not recommend anyone with pet allergies to stay in this home. We are dog friendly and a dog lives in the home 90% off the year. Our cleaners are great, but they cannot completely illuminate dog dander and hair from fabrics and our HVAC system!

About the host
Hosted by Erica Riha
I am originally from the Decorah area, but right after college I moved to NYC to begin a career in Interior Design. Since moving back, I have that same passion for fixing up old houses. I am constantly finding new projects, and ideas that make our homes unique but functional.
Why they chose this property
Since we moved directly here from NYC, we still wanted the walkability of city life. We are positioned perfectly between the hustle and bustle of downtown, and a quiet trail or river walk in the opposite direction.
What makes this property unique
The history and charm of our brick house really sets us apart. The land for the property was purchased in 1851, when the neighborhood was beginning to be developed. The house is constructed of bricks that were made here in Decorah's Phelps Park. We believe the house was built in the 1890's in the Victorian Queen Anne Style.
