Renovated charmer in the heart of Decorah’s Park District

This charming craftsman style home is the perfect vacation spot for your family to enjoy all that Decorah and the surrounding area has to offer. This home is located on a quiet street less than a block from Phelps Park and 4 blocks to downtown Decorah. When you first arrive you'll find a large front porch to enjoy coffee from Impact or Mill Street Mocha in the morning, ice cream from Whippy Dip or Sugar Bowl in the afternoon and a Pulpit Rock or Toppling Goliath beer in the evening. The entire home has recently been renovated, including new kitchen and both baths. Three comfortable bedrooms rooms and large bath on the 2nd level. Laundry provided in the basement for your use. Private back yard with fire pit. Off street parking for up to four vehicles.

This property was just what my husband, and our friends needed this weekend. We can not even begin to express our gratitude for opening this house to us. It was perfect in every way. The inside space was cozy, the outside space relaxing, I loved the water pressure here, and everything was close by and easily accessible.

Adorable and amazing location

Went for a girls weekend. The place was absolutely adorable. Perfect for some great girl time dancing, eating and walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Would visit again!

A great stay!

We had a great stay at this property! Within walking distance to lots of coffee shops. We really enjoyed the outdoor seating on the covered front porch and in the back yard by the firepit. The owners were responsive and so helpful! Thanks for a great stay, we hope to be back soon!

Charming and Cozy stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our rental in Decorah. It was the perfect size for our group and the hosts even dropped off a baby gate as they knew we had an infant tagging along. Great front porch to enjoy your coffee, play some games, and just relax. We also enjoyed an evening around the fire pit in the backyard. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an affordable option in town near trails and the destinations on Water Street!

Great Place!

Jeremy and Trista have a great house. They were easy to communicate with and answered our questions promptly. Decorah is a beautiful area with lots to do. This was the perfect spot for us.

Sweet spot

This is such a beautiful home nestled up next to the park but still close to town. The hosts were so responsive. We sent out a plea at the last minute before graduation for help with a garment and they went above and beyond to help. More than we ever expected. I will forever remember sitting on the front porch in the evenings watching the birds flit around as we relaxed. It is a special home.

Delightful Downtown Adjacent Decorah

We went to Decorah for the Raptor Resource Project After the Fledge Weekend and found so much more than that to occupy our time. This home is walking distance from downtown and very convenient to the Decorah Fish Hatchery, Trout Run Trail, and countless other interesting places (as well as necessary places like grocery store(s) and Wal-Mart to get items needed during a vacation), making our planned and unplanned events simple to get to. It was hard to leave the beautiful home which was perfect for making the most of time with extended family. The seating for 8 on the front porch made for some beautiful lazy mornings and evenings. Beds in all three rooms are very comfortable and the decor in all is very pleasing, making reading in bed a favorite way to pass some time. The hosts provide a lot of informational magazines and phamphlets about Decorah and the surrounding areas which helped us add some things into our itinerary and made us want to come do more stuff another time. They were also very responsive via the vrbo app when we had a question about something at the house. We hope to be lucky enough to book this property on a yearly basis.

Lovely home

Lovely older home with a great kitchen and bathroom, worked well for our group of 6 - grandparents, parents and a 2 and 3 year old. Location is good in Decorah, a nice quiet neighborhood close to a beautiful park and close to all the wonderful things Decorah has to offer!Our 3 year old grandson loved the Marvel Match game, we enjoyed playing it on the porch early on Sunday morning while everyone else was asleep! And always nice to have some children's books that are new to the kiddos to enjoy away from home!
