This property is ideal for a Decorah stay. It is clean, well maintained and has more essentials than most. The kitchen had size and all necessary equipment. There was ample space and furniture for 9. The owners were friendly and prompt responding to questions. Friends traveling with me were impressed with how close this place was to everything…restaurants, shops and bars all 2-3 blocks away!

Dolly’s house was very accommodating for our families. We were in town for a wedding & everyone was able to get the rest & relaxation needed between festivities & gatherings. If ever needed again we won’t hesitate to stay at Dolly’s again. Thank you to Bruce & Kaleen for being such gracious hosts. Lori

We were delighted with the property and location. Our hosts were very gracious and timely in their communication. Dolly’s Place was spotless and spacious. The kitchen was beautifully renovated and fully equipped. We loved evenings on the porch and enjoyed a pleasant picnic dinner there one night. The close proximity to Decorah’s charming downtown and a grocery store was a real blessing. Off street parking was also appreciated. This was a perfect locale for our family reunion!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dolly's Place. Extremely simple check-in. Five 77 year old ladies stayed there for homecoming for 3 nights and found it very clean, beautifully updated, and very comfortable with adequate seating in dining and living rooms for social time. You'll find everything you need in the kitchen from good fry pans to pen and pencil. Good lighting - one of my pet peeves is bathrooms and living areas that are poorly lit and I'm happy to say that's not the case here. Weather was grand, so we enjoyed the comfortable back deck a couple of times. The location was a plus as we were able to walk downtown for some of our meals and shopping and we took a nice walk through the historical district. Grocery store a block away. Adequate parking. Quiet setting. Two full bathrooms with plenty towels in each room plus extras. Lots of pillows in the bedrooms. If you are traveling with older folks, know that the steps to upstairs are narrow, but there's a good railing. The one member of our group who is unsteady and uses a cane was able to maneuver them okay, and she took the one downstairs bedroom so that worked out well. We helped her on the front steps (no railing there and normally none would be needed). We all said we'd stay there again. The owner is very accessible if anything is needed.

Luther Homecoming Weekend Stay

We loved staying here! I rented the home with 4 friends who had gathered for our 30th college reunion. Check-in and check-out was amazingly easy and the location is prime…short walking distance to all the cute downtown shops and restaurants. Would absolutely stay here again on a future trip!
