Lovely cabin for weekend skiing
This cabin felt homey and it was perfect for our group of six friends headed to Crystal Mountain for the weekend. It had all of the amenities that I could have asked for (including a hot tub and fireplace). We enjoyed playing Bananagrams and watching movies from the DVD selection (Blade and Mrs. Doubtfire). Couches were comfortable, water in the showers was hot, and the owner even threw in a Crystal Mountain parking pass. Thank you for the hospitality, Tom!

Wonderful cozy cabin near Crystal
Our family of five (2 teens, 1 child) loved our stay at Tom’s cabin. They have everything you might need - including a generator in case of a power outage! Our stay could have easily been cut short considering the 2 day power outage. But we stayed cozy and warm inside, and the hot tub felt amazing after our ski days. It’s about a 30m drive up to Crystal from the cabin. We loved seeing the elk roam the neighborhood and the kids loved playing in the snow. We will 100% rent again, can’t wait for another ski weekend or a summer hike trip. Thank you!!

My time at the cabin is priceless. It is more than a stopping off spot to sleep and eat. It is an escape into the sights, smells, chill of the nights and outdoor exploration associated with camping in the woods. But, this cammping trip comes with hot/warm water, central heating, soft beds and warm blankets.

Why they chose this property

The ranch has a caretaker providing a secure environment and the home is close to our home in Seattle, Crystal saki area and Mt Rainier. We now snow ski several days in a row and cross country ski from our back door. When we aren't skiing we road and mountain bike, hike in the Nation forest and explore the forest service roads. On occasion we take a morning trip across Chinook pass for breakfast at Gold Creek or Whisky Jacks. Within 30 miles we can bike across three mountain passes or up to Sunrise on wide shoulders in slower car traffic than the other Cascade passes.

What makes this property unique

At 2300' elevation CRR receives snow when snow is falling in the NW foothills. Summers are warmer than Seattle and it rains less frequent. There are walking trails running throughout the CRR community, one along the White river. Within walking distance forest service road 74 is gated and good for longer walks, very safe bike riding and cross country skiing.
A Crystal Mountain parking lot A reserved parking pass is provided during the ski season.
