Inside property was very nice and had everything. Lawn was a bit long and the trash bins were already full and left on the curb otherwise very nice place.
Comfortable, easy-going home - good spaces for hanging out with friends. Great location for NCSML and Czech Village - wonderful cafe just 3 blocks away.
This house worked great for our group of 5. It's on the edge of Czech Village and an easy drive to everywhere else in Cedar Rapids. Note that the house is near a busy street, so expect to hear the passing cars and trucks. Quick and easy communication, too. We'd stay there again - thanks!

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Subpar for VRBO
The house has good bones and the original woodwork is pretty. Communication with the host is excellent. HVAC system is very efficient. However, the property is in need of a thorough cleaning. We moved an area rug and had to sweep and vacuum the floor (hair, dirt, sand, and hairbands under the rug). There were crumbs on the table and around the seats of the chairs. The downstairs bathroom baseboards have mold growing on the caulk. There is hair from previous guest(s) around the sink. All the area rugs need to be vacuumed and there is dust on most surfaces. There were cobwebs on the legs of the orange end table in the living room. All the heating/AC registers need to be cleaned. There is also a need for an extermination service as we killed at least four insects. The heated surface of the iron is filthy and sticks to clothing. The main floor bathroom is a Jack and Jill style between the to main floor bedrooms. If you have legs, don't expect to use the toilet comfortably (see pictures, shoe size is a woman's 9 for perspective). To get from the shower to the sink, or vis versa, plan to run through the house as space is limited between toilet and wall.Seating is at a premium in the living room. There are four antique chairs to use at the table. The sofa is scratchy and stained. It is also very deep and difficult to get out of. There are games to play.Railing to get upstairs is coming off the wall. Upstairs bedroom and bath ok. Skylights directly above beds.
Excellent place to stay, but with a few minor problems.
Overall the Vrbo was great. Nice size, a good assortment of kitchen gadgets (Kurig Toaster, Coffee maker etc). The AC could keep up with the Augest heat and the driveway could fit all 5 of our cars. It was a great experience.
However, therew were a few problems. First, we found stains and bugs on the bedsheets. Fortunately there waa a laundry machine in the Vrbo, but before bed we all washed our bedding and blankets. Second, there was not enough toilet paper when we arrived. At 2am, in our second night, we ran out of toliey paper and needed to doordash a new package. Same with paper towels, there was inly one roll for the six of us to share. If you're group buys paper before the first night.
Overall, it was a great experience and we had an excellent stay.
