Lovely property in a great location. Lots of privacy but close to the Park, tubing, historical towns. Great amenities. Fun to watch the trees sway. Nice little areas to sit. Relaxing, clean, lots of info provided, easy. Highly recommend.
My spouse and I had a peaceful weekend at this property. It was very clean with clear directions on use of all of the amenities. The hot tub is nice and all of the indoor amenities are up to date. We enjoyed its close proximity to Shenandoah National Park and had a nice day of hiking during our stay. We hope to come back again soon and would recommend this property to other couples looking for a relaxing getaway!.
White Pine Loft is a perfect sized cabin for 2 in the woods a few miles south of Luray. It was spotlessly clean and check-in was easy. We enjoyed the hot tub. We stayed only one night, although 2 nights would have been nice. My only wish was that it had some sort of view of the mountains.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, Michael. You were a wonderful guest! The White Pine Loft does not have direct views of the mountains in the Fall, but does offer some peek-a-boo views in the winter and early spring. We do offer two other properties (see us at LurayMountainCabins) that offer direct views year round; we would love to host you again!

Super cute and a perfect couples getaway!
We loved this adorable little cabin! It was clean and new and the perfect size for two. We did two nights and enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace immensely! The only thing we didn’t love was the bed, it’s pretty firm and wasn’t great for us. We will be back but will just bring a mattress topper next time ;). All in all an awesome weekend and the hosts were gracious and welcoming!

Thank you for your wonderful review! I wish there was a way to make the mattress perfect for everyone; I see that you noted that it was firmer than you would like, but a prior review said that it was softer than they prefer. I wish there was a way to flip it over to be soft on one side, firm on the other! You were a great guest and we will look forward to having you visit us again!
Neat and tidy cabin in a remote setting surrounded by woods. Nice to have a/c , hot tub , full bath, downside is bedroom is upstairs in a loft with limited headspace and closets.

Just want to be sure future guests have an accurate understanding of the upstairs - the "loft" is an actual second story with cathedral ceiling in the center and only limited headspace on the far right and left sides closest to the exterior walls. And don't think you're too far in the middle of nowhere, there's Shenandoah Natl Park, Luray Caverns, Shenandoah River, and lots more within 10 minutes. But it does offer a wonderful "escape" feeling as it is very rural and unpopulated here!
We enjoyed our stay, but there were several things we would have changed if we could. The one bathroom is on the main floor, but the bedroom is on the second floor. Not great for those who get up in the nigh or have disabilities. The number of notes around the house, all written to help the owners rather than the renters, was overwhelming. We found ourselves counting them one night, and it was about 30. The dishes in the kitchen were old, and some were cracked or chipped. It just didn’t seem appropriate for one of the most expensive rentals in the area. I was disappointed that I actually had to go out and buy soap for the shower. There was no soap, shampoo, or conditioner, which surprised us. When your rental is completed, you’re expected to take your trash with you, strip the bed, have no dishes in the dishwasher, and, basically, leave no trace. However, you pay for a thorough cleaning. Finally, the location is not that convenient for those wanting to access Shenandoah National Park. It’s actually a longer drive to get to one of the park entrances.
All this being said, the hot tub was very nice, and the fireplace was charming. I’m not sure I would stay again, especially with the price charged, but it was clean, easy to rent and access, and it was a quiet getaway.

Thanks for your feedback, Joan. I'm sorry that you did not realize that the BD & BA were on the same floor when you booked and that you did not see the soap stored in the bathroom for the use of our guests. And as for the notes, most of our guests find them helpful (ex - how to operate the hot tub) but I'm sorry that they bothered you. I will take a fresh look at the dishes - thank you for that feedback! For our future guests - we do not charge a cleaning fee and only ask that guests put dirty linens in the laundry basket so we know what was used and that they put the trash out in the trash can for the housekeeper to gather. And the cabin is located centrally between two entrances to Shenandoah Natl Park - the Thornton Gap Entrance and the Swift Run Gap Entrance. The only accommodations within a few miles of any entrance are the lodges and cabins and RV camping provided by the Park itself. The drive takes about 25 minutes but you will be surrounded by mountains the entire way!
Absolutley gorgeous little getaway for a relaxing weekend. Everything was clean and the location was perfection. We loved everything about our stay and cannot wait to come back!
The property was very clean and cozy! It was the perfect way to relax and have a romantic weekend away from the kids! Everything you could think of possibly needing was already there and the fire pit and hot tub were a great bonus! There were plenty of wineries and breweries within a 35 minute drive to enjoy. The owner Lisa was very easy to work with and very friendly and responsive! Would highly recommend and go back again!

Great location for day trips! Relaxing Couples Spot
We had a nice time driving around Stanley and Luray, seeing some parks and vistas, and doing a little bit of sightseeing at Luray Caverns and in Luray itself! Hanging out around the fireput or in the hot tub was a nice way to relax after all that.
This house is so private, you feel like you are on your own little island. The house is super clean and adorable!! We loved it, would 100% come back again!!!
We enjoyed ourselves very much!! All the sings where helpful. Kitchen well stocked with dishes, mugs, cookware and much more. The hot tub was awesome!! It really was the perfect cabin for us!! Thanks for sharing it with us!! I’ll be telling all our friends. Blessings, Tina & John
We had a wonderful time. The cabin was very clean and inviting. The location was very nice. Secluded yet close to the grocery store which was nice for getting food to cookout on the grill. We drove to Skyline Drive and enjoyed some hiking and amazing views.
The White Pine Loft was a great get-away. As expected from reading other reviews, the cabin was very clean. Even though it was quite warm during our stay, we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and on the porch in the shade after zip-lining and kayaking. We even had a special treat of picking blackberries which are growing right along the drive up to the cabins. Lisa was very helpful before our stay providing us with information and places to explore. Thank you again for opening your place to us. We look forward to visiting again soon.
This cabin more than met my expectations! Very clean and cozy. We absolutely would recommend it to anyone.

Very Pleased.
Needed a quick getaway. I was not disappointed. The cabin was clean and inviting. Wifi worked great. The cabin is located off on it's own but close enough to a walmart in case you forgot to pack something. :) Lisa was great in her communications and answered all my questions and kept me informed of the snow storm that was coming and how that could affect my stay. The cabin has all the instructions which made it very user friendly. I will definitely stay again.
