The first floor of the home is an open concept space with living room, dining area, and kitchen all connected. The cozy kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances, utensils and cookware you need to feel at home. There's room for 6 at the dining table if you choose to take your meals inside! On this main floor you'll also find the full bathroom with oversized shower and beautiful tiled floor. There's even a convenient washer and dryer tucked in there perfect for drying off wet suits after a day at the beach!

The living room has a decorative fireplace and is kitted with a Roku TV, allowing full access to your favorite streaming services. The sofa pulls outs to a comfortable queen bed making this a more accessible sleeping area for those who can't climb to the second floor.

Climb up the stairs and you'll find two generous sized bedrooms to accommodate 4 guests. These beautiful spaces are full of charm with restored original flooring and vaulted ceilings with skylights and exposed beams. The primary bedroom is fitted with a queen-size bed and the second bedroom is fitted with 2 twin beds. Both rooms have plenty of space to unpack in the large closets and dresser.

• The stairs to second floor are steep so not suitable for those with mobility issues but there is a pull out sofa and full bathroom on the first floor

The house is modestly appointed in the best sense, everything you need, nothing you don’t. Perfect size and space for quiet days and nights and the location can’t be beat. Owner responsive and helpful. Can’t wait to go back next year!

Gem in Rockport!

What a fantastic property! Location is absolutely perfect for walking to the beach/shopping/restaurants. The house was perfect for our family of 4 and the town of Rockport has so much to offer. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would recommend to anyone looking for a fun getaway with plenty of activities for all ages!

The location and convenience of renting this place proved a great decision!! Walkable to not only beaches but to the shops and restaurants! We stayed a week and really enjoyed all that was available within a short walk! All of us had a great time! Will definitely return someday!!

Lovely home conveniently located to shops, beach, restaurants and a park with a playground. The kitchen is spacious and all appliances worked well. The water pressure in the large bathroom was terrific and even the fold out bed was very comfortable. Rachel was in regular touch with us just to make sure all was going well and it certainly was! Definitely follow Rachel's suggestions about parking your car!

Loved our stay at this home. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was the stairs going to the second floor were steep, as noted in the description, and we could not get our large suitcase up them. Other than that, everything else was perfect. Spacious bedrooms, large closets, comfortable beds, loved the shower head. Quiet neighbors as there is a cemetery out the front door. We did meet one nice neighbor who gave us a good place to get coffee/breakfast, House is close to beach and downtown area, which offers many shops, art studios and restaurants. Host was in good communication throughout our stay. We were able to back into driveway with little problem in our small SUV. I would love to stay at this home again if I revisit the area.

Great home in a wonderful location

My husband, two children, and I had a lovely stay at Rachel's place. The house is comfortable and clean, in a historic neighbourhood, perfectly located for exploring Rockport and the surrounding area. It is a few minutes walk away from the centre of Rockport, a playground, a beach, and a short drive away from grocery stores. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable. The wifi is great for remote work. The kitchen is well supplied with plates, glasses, cookware, etc. (There were salt and pepper but no other cooking supplies at the time of our stay.) Rachel was a very responsive host and getting in and out of the house was a breeze. The instructions she provides are thorough. (And do make sure you back into the driveway, it's much easier to get in and out that way!) We would love to stay here again and highly recommend the place to others.

Great Rockport Spot

This house is a great homebase for exploring the adorable seaside town of Rockport. It's got it's quirks, sure, but overall we enjoyed our time and would stay here again.The house was immaculate, well-stocked with all the basic kitchen needs, and was in a great location.The quirks? Since most of these things are personal preference, I wouldn't say they are cons, but just maybe would help someone else in their decision to book. They wouldn't dissuade us from staying here again.1. The mattress on the queen size bed was super soft. Way too soft for my husband and I to sleep well on it, but my kids found it comfortable. Also, no bedside table on one side of the bed, which was a little frustrating since I like to read in bed and keep a water bottle close by. Not a deal breaker, just something to consider.2. The stairs are steep, slick, and the railing is slick too since it's metal pipes. We all took it slowly, but definitely something to consider if you have small kids or those with mobility issues.The listing mentions the narrow road and parking situation, and we appreciated the videos shared ahead of time to help navigate. Our minivan made it, but I can't imagine anything bigger would be able to fit. The hosts were great about communication and making sure everything was just right for our stay. Overall, a 5 star stay and property!
