Galway/Mayo Mountain Lakeside Retreat. Stargazers Delight. Hot Tub + Sauna.
This bright traditional Irish bungalow sleeps 6-8 people comfortably. Its Connemara location offers fishing Lakes, magnificent Mountains and woodland adventures. Plus a Wood-fired Hot tub and sauna to die for!
Located 5 mins walk to Clonbur village pubs, restaurants, bakery and grocery. 5 min drive to Cong village and Ashford castle estate. Suitable for adults only - couples, mature families walking/fishing/tourist groups.
Clonbur village breathtaking lake and mountain landscapes, a 400 acre private woodland park and playground.with biking and hiking trails into Connemara and the western Irish Lake District.
Clonbur is set within a special area of natural conservation (Geopark) and close to the Wild Atlantic Way tourist route.
Clonbur is also a popular spot for World class fishing (annual competitions, ghillie + boat available on request) , sporting enthusiasts will also enjoy a variety of 9 and 18 hole golf clubs, cycling, kayaking and more
Galway city offers additional leisure facilities including shops and boutiques, art and crafts fine dining restaurants, beach walks as well as regular sports, music and art events including Galway arts festival, Galway film festival, Galway races, etc.
The property is heated electrically with 2 hot showers, 4-5 bedrooms with 3 double beds and 2 singles. All bed linens and towels supplied. All bedrooms have electric heaters. One open fireplace in living room and one log burner in the dining room for cold/wet winter days.
Bathrooms comprise of One wheelchair accessible wet room with seated shower plus one ensuite shower room (upstairs).
Fully equipped kitchen plus ample dining room with space for up to 8 people. Traditional oak dining table, chairs, traditional dresser with a range of utensils, plates, dishes, cups, glasses etc.
Recreational areas consist of two TV/Living rooms (upstairs & downstairs) seating 5-6 people. Each room offers TV/streaming platforms + WiFi (included in the rental fee)
Plenty of books, videos, DVDs, board games, to while away the rainy days.
Gardens are front and rear but not fenced in or enclosed so special care should be taken by all guests. Each guest takes sole responsibility for their own safety and that of children/pets/visitors.
Ashford castle (cong) and Ballinrobe are close by for large supermarkets, butchers, grocers, cafes, hairdressers, barber, homewares etc.
Clonbur offers convenient access by car to Connemara beaches, Clifden, Westport, Tuam, Maam, Roundstone, Leenane, Oughterard, Headford and Galway city - all within an hours drive. Shannon Airport 1.5 hour drive. Dublin airport 3-4 hours drive (pending city traffic).
External amenties include a large front lawn garden (unfenced) and large rear sun terrace/patio with BBQ. Area and outdoor furniture, fire pit, sauna and hot tub.
**Guests must provide their own kindling & wood for wood fired sauna & hot tub.** these can be purchased locally.

Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Clean away all rubbish and food/personal items. Leave fridge & oven empty.
Gather all used towels and place in laundry basket in downstairs bathroom.
Switch off all lights and heaters at the wall. Including the immersion. Return keys to lockbox.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
