Spacious house, happy that it was pet friendly for our fur babies. Enjoyed the fire pit and making s’mores. Loved that it was close to the so many falls and lake bot launch!
The living room is so much more spacious than it seems in the pictures. It's really nice with great views of the surrounding woods. There's also a lovely screened in porch where we enjoyed all our meals. My only complaint is that although the listing says it accommodates 6 people, there's not enough chairs for everyone (e.g., 4 chairs on the porch and around the fire pit, 5 chairs in the dining room). We made do and it was fine, but it would be nice if the furniture accommodated all of us more easily.

Wonderful, large place that is close to so many attractions!
I actually give this a 4.5 star. First, Bryan was AWESOME to work with. Very responsive and accommodating. He even added air conditioning units for our stay (without our asking) as we were in a heat wave. I really appreciated that he was OK that our party ballooned from 5 people to 8. For the record, the place actually comfortably sleeps 7. Our 8th person was not relegated to the floor either. He was fine on the couch. :) We were only there for a couple of days for a 50K/50 mile race that 3 were running in at the National Forest. This house is perfectly situated for easy trips to many of the parks in the area and to Ithaca. We loved the screened porches and how big the house was. It was perfect how the kitchen was pretty separated so those of us up at 4:30 AM did not disturb the rest of the people sleeping. It was great having 2.5 bathrooms as well, but agree the basement one is for "more hardy" people. I have rented a number of homes and this one had by far the most in the kitchen for cooking. 6 stars for that. :)
The driveway is very steep (as are pretty much all of the places down that road). There is parking at the top of the driveway that I personally think is easier to negotiate than the garage further down the road as you can turn around there. We just backed down the driveway and had no issues, and the other 2 cars parked at the top. The house was pretty quiet, but I could still hear traffic in the upstairs bedroom. I am a very light sleeper. No one else was bothered by it. Just a heads up if you are a light sleeper. The only ding I would give it is that it appears it is on a well. The water is potable as members of our group drank it without any issues, but I would recommend bringing water if well water is not your thing. Other than that, this was an awesome stay with an incredible owner.
The property information was accurate and communication very smooth. Excellent location for access to Ithaca and nearby parks. House was well designed for a family to gather and sleep comfortably. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!
We loved this house! Great location, exactly in the area we wanted to be. The management company was very helpful and responsive to questions! Would absolutely rent this house again.
This property was perfect for my families weekend visit to Ithaca. Extremely clean and comfortable.

Vacation at Finger Lakes NY
The property was nothing like it was presented to us. It was very dirty, unkept inside and outside. It smelled like awful mildew forcing us to leave a day early.
We very much enjoyed our stay. Its a great location that provided easy access to Ithaca and the surrounding area. We had plenty of space, and being in the woods there was plenty of privacy. I would imagine it is beautiful in the fall.
We got in pretty late, but the house was inviting and all set up. We would like to stay here again in the future, and maybe enjoy more of the cottage and property itself. The area itself is beautiful
Went for a wine tour with my girlfriends. The cottage was plenty big enough for six of us. It was very clean and well organized. The porch was absolutely amazing looking down over the lake in the morning. The owners were always ready to answer any questions that we had. It was very easy to check in and out, there was directions for Everything for the checkout process. We cannot wait to stay here again.
Though it rained out our hiking plans we enjoyed this home so much. Tucked off the road and you feel as though it is only you and the woods. More than enough room for my boyfriend and dog. So close to everything! The kitchen was stocked with all of your needs no need to bring anything. Bed was very comfortable.
Owner was a pleasure to work with from the beginning - really fast replies and super helpful throughout! House is really close to lots of places to hike and shop even in a cold pandemic winter. We enjoyed a lot.
My father and I enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was exactly as Bryan described before we arrived and the whole check in/check out process was very simple. There’s more than enough room for a decent sized family. The view was great and the shower was very warm after being outside in the cold during the day. I would definitely recommend this property to family/friends and we will be back.
If you're looking for a relaxing time away from the city and want to immerse yourself in nature, this is a destination you should strongly consider. It's a short drive from the village of Ithaca, Wegmans, hiking trails, and the beautiful waterfall. Wanting to vacation in the woods doesn't mean you won't have the comforts of society within reach. If you look out back, you might even spot a bald eagle soaring overhead. I had an open line of communication with the owner but rarely had to use it as I had minimal complaints. I will definitely be back for a sequel trip sooner rather than later.
Property was located great for all that we wanted to do. Super comfortable beds! Could have been a tad cleaner and they should update some of their furniture or the coverings for the furniture. Overall it met our needs just fine.
Rustic and unique! Don't underestimate the basement! We had 3 households converge here, and socially distanced by using the basement and an air mattress.
The house was very nice, the furniture very comfy, it's minutes from all the popular hiking areas, and it's secluded. The fire pit was a very nice addition and we highly recommend this to anyone looking to visit this beautiful area.
Nice private spot. My dog loved it. There was enough room for him to run around and be free. Fire pit and screened back porch was really nice too. Overall great experience.
This is a great location - minutes from downtown Ithaca/Cornell and minutes from the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail and Taughannock Falls. The house itself has a lot of space, and good areas to hang out including a large living room, screened in porch and a fire pit outdoors. One minor drawback - the basement bathroom shower is pretty gross and cramped. I was the only one from our group of 4 willing to use it, and that was only because we were in a rush. Upstairs shower is fine. Regardless, would book here again anytime.
