Escape to Black Pines A-Frame, a fully renovated 1961 cabin nestled in the Catskill Mountains in Kerhonkson, NY. Named one of the “Coolest A-Frames in NY” by the New York Post, this charming retreat blends rustic character with modern comforts. Set on two private acres, it offers stunning wooded views and a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Step inside to an open-concept living space, where original wood-beamed ceilings, a cozy wood-burning fireplace, and a spacious forest-green sectional set the tone for relaxation. Cook in in the modern chef’s kitchen and dine in the open dining area, where A-frame windows frame the front yard views.

THE SPACE

2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths – Both upstairs bedrooms feature queen beds, local artwork, and modern furnishings. The guest bedroom includes a dedicated workspace, while the primary bedroom has a Roku TV. Yoga mats are provided in each closet.

Cozy Living Area – Relax by the fireplace, stream on the 55-inch Roku TV, or unwind with a selection of board games, cards, and coffee table books.

Fully Equipped Kitchen – Prepare home-cooked meals in a modern, well-stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances.

We loved our stay. The cabin was immaculately clean, beautifully lit, and so cozy. I particularly appreciated having all coffee options available-- drip, pour over, press, espresso, even a beautiful grinder, plus all the necessary supplies. A perfect, quiet getaway.

My small family had a terrific stay here. The property is perfect. The house is both stylish and welcoming (a fire pit and a turntable?!). The location is secluded but still accessible to the best of the Hudson Valley. The owners were very helpful, friendly, and communicative; they made sure we had everything we needed for our time in the woods. 10 out of 10.

A Rainy Weekend Well Spent

We had such a lovely stay at the Black Pines A-Frame! The house itself is beautiful—thoughtfully designed and full of charm. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked with everything we needed to prepare home-cooked meals, which made staying in feel extra cozy and enjoyable.It happened to rain the entire weekend, so we spent most of our time indoors, and the fireplace truly saved the day. It kept the space warm and inviting, and made our rainy retreat feel peaceful and relaxing.Highly recommend this home for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy a quiet escape, rain or shine. We’d love to come back!

I love the Kerhonkson, NY area as it is surrounded by beautiful nature views, hiking trails, farm stands, apple picking, and great restaurants! My favorite hikes are in Minnewaska State Park Preserve and I love the Saunderskills farm stand.

The Black Pines A-Frame is unique due to it is beautiful A-Frame structure, cozy living room, retro record player, and mid-century modern decor. I love spending early mornings watching the sun rise and evenings around the fire place.
