This house was absolutely perfect for our family vacation. It was clean, very comfortable and had everything you possibly needed. It was a real bonus having kayaks, SUPs, float, tubes and canoe. We loved the little beach area for our grandchildren. Lovely spot and would love to go back! The owner, Wendy, was a great host and communication was excellent and timely.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Twin Pines. Our family was in town for a wedding and the property was just what we needed. From the communications with Wendy, to the detailed instructions of where everything is, our stay was enjoyable and effortless. The property had great views and close proximity to places we needed to be. We would definitely stay there again.

Our stay at the Lakefront family‑friendly house on Little Squam was absolutely wonderful. The home strikes that rare balance between being spacious, comfortable, and genuinely welcoming. With 4 bedrooms, it easily accommodated our group, giving everyone plenty of room to spread out while still feeling connected.

Wonderful location, home and owner communication. We were two families with 4 adults and 6 kids. The downstairs is perfect for kids and the two main bedrooms with connected full bathrooms were great for adults.

Twin Pines was exceptional. It has a beautiful lake and Mountain View through the many sliders. It was very spacious, clean, and very well organized. Two full sized tables in the living area were ideal for playing games and doing puzzles. The beds were all quite comfortable and the kitchen had everything you would want! The host was always quick to reply to a question. Due to a storm we lost power for 1 day and the host was very responsive to our needs. She even sent someone to check in on us since our phone reception was spotty. We look forward to returning next year!

We used the lake house as a base camp to explore New Hampshire. It was at most a 1.5 hour, beautiful drive to everything we wanted to see. After hiking in Franconia Notch, or driving to Vermont to compare fall colors, it was nice to come back to this clean, beautiful house.The kitchen was very nice and well appointed. It was by far the nicest kitchen of any house we have ever rented, and the deck was awesome. We also appreciated the instruction manual that came with the house. It listed good restaurants close by, hikes to try, how to operate the electronics, and where to find things in the house. Our daughter has OCD and she would have loved how organized the house was.

It is an amazing location and perfect for a family get away. It was supposed to be me and my siblings and our kids (youngest 18) and our elderly parents. Sadly, my father’s health changed and it turn out to be just my brother and his partner and my family so there was so much space. They had great board games and we got a puzzle started and finished. A little ping pong fun and the views were amazing. I am a type A personality so it was perfect. Lots of great notes and details. Not a lot of questions, but when we did - the response was fast and helpful. It is super dark and their directions spot on but still hard to find if it is dark and dark out. The mattresses are amazing and the kitchen had very nice stuff and fully loaded. It is obviously their home and their escape, so no corners cut and a feeling of luxury. Highly recommend!!!

An Exceptionally Thoughtful Host and a Perfect Family Getaway

Wendy is an incredibly generous and thoughtful host. The house was stocked with everything we could possibly need, not just the big essentials, but all the little things we usually forget. It made settling in and enjoying our time together completely stress-free.The private beach was absolutely perfect for both young kids and adults. The sand was clean and soft, and the water stayed shallow for a good stretch, which made it ideal for toddlers to run and play safely. On top of that, the house had every kind of float and small boat you could want. Our family loved taking evening paddles together at sunset, it was such a memorable part of the trip.The layout of the house was great too. Even with kids running around in the mornings, the design kept things quiet in the bedrooms so people could sleep in without being disturbed.And the location couldn’t be more convenient, just 15 minutes from major grocery stores and only 3 minutes from local ice cream stands.It was a perfect home base for a multi-generational family vacation, and we’re already hoping to return next year!
