Fantastic location and vibe at this beautiful home! So much character and the furnishings were beautful and comfortable. We came to SB for a wedding and were so happy to be able to come “home” to this characterful refuge. Very well appointed, easy communication, and very spacious for our family of 4. Thank you Ian!
We enjoyed our one night stay at this home in Santa Barbara. Great location! Just a little tight in the bathroom area for our family of 5 to use, but we enjoyed our stay in our road trip up the California coast!
We had a great stay here for a college campus visit at UCSB. Great location and very clean. We were able to make breakfast Sunday morning before we left and the kitchen had everything we needed. Thanks!
The location couldn’t have been better, just a short walk to the beach which makes it so easy to enjoy morning strolls and sunset views. It’s also surrounded by good restaurants and cafes. The house was beautifully furnished and well maintained. Everything felt clean and comfortable. We would absolutely come back again.
A lovely home in a lovely quiet neighborhood, close to the beach, downtown accessible. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable furniture, responsive host. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time.
The property was beautiful and the location perfect! It was a 10-15 minute walk to the beach and resturuants. We traveled with a child with a disability and another young child and it was a comfortable stay. I would give a 10/10, but the bedroom smelled terribly of mold. The windows in one of the bedrooms did not open safely and the ceiling fans did not work, so the smell was oppressive and by the end of the stay felt overwhelming. The place was clean, so my husband thought it may have been the carpet. Without this factor I'd stay again and again, as we travel to Santa Barbara evey year.
This is the second time we have stayed here. It's an older building, but we love the style. It's quiet and in a great location close to everything. We rented bikes and biked everywhere. Beds were comfortable. We'll be back!
Kitchen and living room are nicely done. Old but correct. Bathroom is really minimal. Old and not revamped. The main reason why I’m giving only 3 stars is the master bedroom. The bed is horrible and would need to be replaced. Good thing that I’ve used the extra pillows from the second bedroom otherwise I could not have slept on the monster pillows from the master bedroom. All sort of electric cords running on the floor. Portable AC in the window. To summarize, if a good night sleep is not your priority then you might go for it. But if it is then you should rethink your options especially at this price. My 2 cents.
This charming and sunny apartment is a few blocks from the beach, and on a quiet street. Occasionally, you can here freeway traffic but it is low and fades into the background. The kitchen may be small and outdated but it is cheerful, fully stocked, and totally serviceable. The dining room table is inviting-large and sturdy. The bathroom is cramped and old but the water is hot and the water pressure is not bad. There are loads of towels, including beach towels. We loved the old tile in the kitchen and bathroom, the warm buttery yellow walls, the arch between the living room and dining room and the ceiling height. The living room and dining room are light filled and airy.I do not like leaving anything less than a five star rating because the house is charming, and the location terrific. Few guests have mentioned the beds so this might just be us but we found the king mattresses very lumpy and soft and a twin too soft. Also, the bed frames creak making us worry that we might be bothering the people in the apartment below. A few windows either wouldn't open or couldn't shut all of the way. The multiple extension cords throughout the house and in particular in the larger bedroom should probably be tacked or taped down (for both aesthetic and safety reasons). Having said this, if you are not particular about your mattress and these other minor issues you will do well here.
This upstairs apartment was amazing. This was the best kitchen well-stocked with absolutely anything and everything a family could use for their stay. The beds were very comfortable. The location is perfect. The dining room was comfortable and large. The living spaces were full of charm. I would definitely try to stay here again.
Totally relaxing time here! This is a wonderful location - close to downtown and the beach. This is the second time we stayed here - what a wonderful place. We hope to always stay here when traveling to SB.
Check in was easy. Kitchen was stocked with any appliance needed. This was a sweet place with an amazing location to the beach. Walking distance to all the eateries and shops.
