A beautiful, elegant, and relaxing property on an island with all that Maine living should be, and only a 15 minute Fogg taxi ride from Portland. Explore the beaches, forts, and batteries. Decompress, write, paint, compose! I find I think more clearly, creativity is enhanced, and general perspective is expanded. .4 miles from Diamond Cove ferry dock, and .6 from Great Diamond dock.

An ideal home away from home at our most favorite place in Maine. Plenty of extra touches to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. Owner is quick to respond to any questions, and went well above-and-beyond to help us out when we experienced an unforeseen situation. I am so very grateful! I hope we can book this wonderful home again next summer. Thank you!

Historic and charming home in a most interesting setting-- the community was a former military fort and barracks. Chat with neighbors on the front porch or watch wildlife and hang out in the backyard picnic tables. Comfortable beds and two full baths makes it good for group of 4-6 people. The golf cart is a godsend but there are bicycles and kayaks for land and water exploration. We didn't make it to the lovely looking pool or rec center for gym/bowling but they look like lots of fun. Rental and check-in was easy with quick communication from Ethan the owner. Pro-tips: 1) Be sure to take the ferry from Portland to the Diamond Cove dock NOT the Great Diamond Island dock. Ferry tickets are cheapest at 14 ea; other option is to book a personal water taxi 75 (takes up to 6 people). 2) There's no typical general store just a restaurant with a gift shop, so bring all your groceries with you.
