About the host
Hosted by Margitta Huelstrunk, Fir-Darrig Holiday Cottages Ireland
Fir-Darrig Holiday Cottages Ireland is letting personally selected Cottages in the South West of Ireland for more than 20 years. Our philosophy is to provide true descriptions and pictures of the houses offered in order to ensure a most relaxing stay in "your" holiday house. We love assisting you in selecting a suitable place as well as to share our Irish experience with you.
What makes this property unique
The cottage is located near Kells at a cul-de-sac country lane about four kilometers of the famous Ring of Kerry. It enjoys magnificient views of Dingle Bay and the Dingle Peninsula. The area around the cottage is called Roads and has got nothing to do with traffic or noise. On the contrary the area is a tranquil Irish country side setting and also is part of the internationally recognised Kerry Dark Reserve. No light polution but millions of stars in clear nights with many astronomical sights to be seen with the naked eye. The nearest grocery shop, a souvenir shop with beautiful Irish garments and crystal glass as well as a Panorama Restaurant is only four kilometers from the house. The lively market town of Cahersiveen with several traditional Irish pubs, shops and restaurants is ten kilometers away. The near vicinity of the house offers plenty of opportunities for activities like walking the Kerry mountains, cycling on quiet country lanes, playing golf, fishing off the rocks near Kells Harbour, boat trips to the Skellig Rocks, deep sea angling with charter boats or visit the many ancient cultural sites of the Celts. Kells House Subtropical Garden is just a stroll away from the house.
